Hi @aagk123

In Adobe Launch, the terms “latest”, “published”, and “live” are related to rules and data elements.

  1. Latest:
The “latest” version of a rule or data element refers to the most recent changes made to it. When you edit a rule or data element, the latest version reflects those edits.
However, the latest version is not necessarily the one currently in use or active. It’s the most up-to-date configuration, but it might not be published or live yet.
  2. Published:
When you “publish” a rule or data element, you make the changes in the latest version available for use. Publishing essentially deploys the configuration to your production environment. The published version is the one that is currently active and affecting your website or application. It’s what users interact with.
  3. Live:
A rule or data element is considered “live” when it’s actively running in your production environment. In other words, it’s executing its defined behavior.

The live version corresponds to the published version. Once you publish changes, they become live and impact user experiences.

In know, when it comes to published and live, there is little difference anymore.

Cheers from Switzerland!
