Server Call Reporting - Report Builder

Avatar

Hi

We're trying to get a clearer view of our total server call usage with a report builder report.

We think our best view is to use the occurrences metric that populates in Adobe Workspace, but I can't seem to find that metric in the Report Builder plug-in.

The reason we want to do this is to have a weekly scheduled report showing all of our analytics suites split by server calls by suite so we can quickly identify if we are at risk of breaching our limits.

Any help would be welcome! As I said, main issue is that we can't see occurrences, but if anyone has any better suggestions as to how we might be able to measure then also great.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob,

See if instances are available as a metric for the dimension you're looking at. You'll have to ensure that the dimension is set on every hit for it to resemble primary server calls.

Thanks,

George

Hi georgerht

We're not looking at specific dimensions as such, but at overall instances to a report suite - do you think that might work?

Thanks,

Hi Rob,

If you know of a variable (prop or eVar) within your report suite that is set on every server call (it's likely to be something like site section or if you are collecting URL in a prop/eVar) the total number of instances or occurrences of that dimension within a certain time period should technically be the same as the number of primary server calls for that report suite (you can check this in the billing section of admin tools).

Cheers,

George
