I am trying to create a report in Adobe Analytics that shows how many users add a product to their cart on their very first Product Detail Page (PDP) view during a session. Essentially, I want to identify users who performed the "Add-to-Cart" action on their first encounter with a product page.
This user exits the site after his first PDP views
Specifically, I need help with:
1. How to set up a segment or report that tracks users who add an item to their cart on their first PDP view.
2. What metrics, dimensions, or events should I be using to accurately capture this data.
3. Any recommendations on how to visualize this within Adobe Analytics.
Note: I have implemented prodview and add to cart event in PDP.
I would appreciate any advice or steps to create this segment or report. Thank you in advance!

I would build a sequiential segment like below, but curious for Jennifer's 2 cents on that.
What do you see in your segment preview if you try to rebuild it?

Hi @bjoern__koth
thanks for your quick reply.
I have tried with segment creation but problem is it is showing the cart addition within the visit.

usecase 2 I would do in a similar fashion (sorry I must have missed that)
again a sequential visit segment where immedately after the products view no other page view exists.
Sequential segments are sometimes behaving a little weird in AA, curious to hear what @Jennifer_Dungan has to add.

Hey both... when dealing with Visit segments, is that once the visit matches the criteria, everything in that visit will be returned... (as in all add to carts, within a visit that has an add to cart on the first product page).
You could try making the scope of the segment "Only Before Sequence" instead of "Include Everyone" (to try to limit the data up until that sequence occurs - i.e. product page > add to cart within 1 hit).
I don't have a site with a traditional cart flow to test this out... but in theory it should work....
Either that or we may need to build some more complexity into the logic....
you mean like so?
But should the Then Page Views does not exist not also work as an abort criteria?
