Adobe Workfront General

For all access levels, I've opened up the access on all objects (projects, tasks, issues, etc) as much as they can be opened. But when I add people to a project, the default on the said project is at a View access even if they have higher access per their license. This is such a pain point because I have to go in after adding the person to update their access to the project at a higher level of contribute. I don't have the same people on every project so I can't overcome this with the templates we use. It clearly says below in the image "Everyone in the system can view" and I think that's causing the default on the project. Other planners in the credit union create projects and add people, too, so it's causing projects to not be opened up standard because this is so manual. Any ideas of what I can do to overcome this so that when we assign someone to a project, they default to the highest level of access per their license?  Also, we want the setting below to not be on "Only i

We have a custom form that is attached to a project (in the Project Details section) after the project is created. Access/permission is set to the maximum levels possible for all objects and users -- the form, the template, the project, etc. However, work license users are unable to enter information on the custom form (plan users can enter information in the form). I'm fairly confident that we've been able to do this before. And according to this article https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/basics/work-with-custom-forms/edit-custom-forms.html?lang=en these users should be able to enter/edit the information in the form. I have tried searching the help section for information and can't find anything for this specific issue. Any ideas? I'm probably missing something obvious.

Looking to view a long task list with just the parent tasks not automatically expended - has anyone found a way to do that?

Hello, I cannot change the duration of a task - keeps reverting back to 1 day.  Do I need to modify task contraints?

Hi all,About half our workers love the new home and have switched over to it, but we also have many folks that definitely want to stick to the old home page (until they can't, anyway). For the folks that prefer the old home page, do we need to create a special layout template for them, or is there another way to stop the blue 'please try out the new home' banner from showing up? Thanks! -Laura

Is anyone else experiencing issues with proofs not loading in the integrated system? For about 2 months, we have users report that when they attempt to open a proof using the new proofing viewer they get an error "Proof not loaded try again." When using the legacy viewer, the screens opens up to solid gray. If we close the window and reopen, the proof opens fine. I've been working with our Workfront Support person, but he and the development team have been unable to replicate it on their side. I was leaning towards the possibility that it was our network, however I've encountered the same issue at home on my personal computer and network. Workfront suggested it's our network, so I have opened a ticket with our internal IT, however I am curious if anyone else has had the same problem. Side note: this was happening prior to the 2018.2 release. Wendy White AmeriCredit Financial Services, Inc. dba GM Financial

I'd like to add a proof approval report on a project dashboard to show the status of a proof for that project only. But when I load the report in the dashboard and go to the project page, it shows every proof from every project. How can I filter it to only show the proofs that are specific to the project that dashboard is on? Is this not possible? Leah Janz Metro Transit

I have a report that I'm working on, and i was wondering in a report where I'm generating a calculated field from another field, am i able to reference that generated field within the same report.  i have this field which is assigning a int based on text in a custom form.  displayname=SLA textmode=true usewidths=true valueexpression=IF({DE:PIM | RHC TShirt Size}="0-NotNeeded",0,IF({DE:PIM | RHC TShirt Size}="1-XSmall",3,IF({DE:PIM | RHC TShirt Size}="2-Small",5,IF({DE:PIM | RHC TShirt Size}="3-Medium",6,IF({DE:PIM | RHC TShirt Size}="4-Large",8,IF({DE:PIM | RHC TShirt Size}="5-XLarge",9)))))) valueformat=int width=50from that field i wanted to use that number above, and multiply that number and add on from a know date. currently it displays a date, but is subtracting 1 single day? displayname=Estimated Hand off textmode=true usewidths=true valueexpression=ADDWEEKDAYS({DE:PIM | Engagement Plan Estimated Completion Date}, SUM({DE:SLA}*5)) valueformat=shortAt

Hi all, Does anyone know if the new My Work Widget has the option to change a task back from working on to a work request?  The predecessor was erroneously closed (and since re-opened).  She had already selected 'work on it' and then changed the current status back to 'New', but the task still shows up when the 'ready to start' filter is selected and the task isn't ready to start. The old dashboard had the option to 'convert to work request' if ' work on it' had previously been selected. But we can't find it in the new dashboard.  Thanks.

I'm looking for the previous version of the Workfront plans document. Does anyone have it? The old version had Pro, Business and one more plan in it.Document sample (new version):Could you please attach if you have one? Thanks!

All my users have an assigned tasks report that filters tasks that are not complete where they are one of the assignees. However, when the task has multiple assignees and each one clicks "done with my part" the task stays in their report until the final person is done and has completed the task. Does anyone know any other completion type of field that is activated on a per-assignee basis that I could be using instead?

A team in our instance work from a Request Queue where Issues are assigned out. They track this work with Issue Reports filtered with 'Assigned To: Name'.A recurring problem is that when multiple users are assigned to the same Issue a Primary Assignee is selected. The Issue will then only show up on reports for that user and not for the others assigned to the ticket. Is there anyway to work around this?

Is it just me or is there no out-of-the-box email notification that gets sent out to a project owner when their project gets approved or rejected? I only see notification settings for delegated approvers. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Hi WF Community, Good day, Do we have a basic guide that will get the Workfront Report and connect to PowerBI? Using Fusion.

works great. However, I am unable to create an editable notes field to a task report. If I bring the project status notes field into the task report it's not editable nor does it serve any purpose except to display the last status note made to the project. We are currently working in the New Experience. Thanks, Kathy

While logging into Workfront, I'm encountering the error message "No account associated with the email address." However, this account still has planner access in Workfront, as I've confirmed while using the administrator account.

I am working with a customer and they would like a Gantt chart as part of their weekly status.  This is for the executives, so they only want to see the Summary or Parent Tasks.  I created a view, and it is exactly what they want.  When I utilize the Export to PDF - even if I select Export what I see - I still get an output of every task, not just the summary tasks.  I have put in a picture of the view below.  This is exactly what I would like to see output to PDF if possible.  I am sure I am just missing something somewhere.  Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!sue

Need to add a new typehead option into my template Overview section of an existing template. Anyone know how? Thanks!

I wanted to know if the time off calendar feature can prevent users from being assigned to a proof, or push out the proof deadline b/c of a user's time off calendar?  I know this feature works with task assignments, not sure if it works with proofs as well.

Hi,I was recently looking for Digital Asset Management and came across two links,1) DAM - https://business.adobe.com/products/experience-manager/assets/aem-assets.html2) Enabling Workfront DAM - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/documents/wf-dam-within-workfront/enable-wf-dam.html?lang=en Can someone let me know the difference of these two. Are they the same? Thanks in Advance.Abisheik

A user with a worker license accidentally deleted a proof with three versions. I went to the Proofing module in the main menu, then to Trash. I selected the checkbox for all three versions and clicked the Restore Selected button. In the Trash window it shows they have been restored, but they never show up in the documents tab of the project. When I go to the Activity Log in the proofing module, in the Action column it shows they have been restored, but if I click on the More button (three dots) of any one of the proofs, then click the Go to Proof button I get an error message: "An error has occurred and we are working to resolve the issue. To continue with your work, try refreshing this browser page."Is this a known issue? Any way to get them actually restored? The only workaround I've found is to download a PDF of all versions and comments, not a real solution, but at least it captured the comments.

Does anyone know if it is possible to pull data to see if a user opened or commented on a proof in either a Workfront report or in a Proof view? We are trying to audit users to see if they are opening or leaving feedback on a proof to ensure the right people are acknowledging they have something to review. Thanks!

Looking for a way to view Net available hours by user on a report level.  The system calculates in the planner view when viewed by project but not is the user view. Our support team/Adobe says is it is not possible to leverage this calculation in a report.  This is a basic calulation when understanding resource capacity.  Anyone crossed this bridge before?

I've recently had a Senior Stakeholder provide some negative feedback on the Workfront App. Due to their Job Role, the App would be the preferred way to receive key updates but at the moment it's not serving them well. The main issues reported are; Unable to scroll to see all the notes/updates when adding your own notes Pages seem to skip randomlyOverall - not user friendlyIt seems the overall consumer feedback around the App is similar. Are there any plans to enhance the user experience or develop the App further? Thanks

Hi Community,How can I filter out resources that are no longer working on project so that I can only see resources who are currently working on the project as shown in screenshot below. I have tried bunch of filters on the utilization screen but it doesn't seems that the filter on the utilization tab is working as expected, Any help will be appreciated,
