Hi,When I'm uploading a CSV list into Marketo and in the list I have a few members that already exist in the system (Marketo/SF), Marketo create a new member or update the existing member (can be lead or contact)?In addition to that, how Marketo define new members? By email address/First Name or something else?And how can I edit it? Thanks in advance!Hadar

Hi all,I open this thread to report a malfunction (or so it seems), of a velocity token.Before I explain the malfunction though, it is necessary to put the problem in context.   Due to the integration with CRM (D365), I have a token that is written via API.Within this token are multiple links. Hi there,We would like to simplify our form as much as possible. Therefore, we were thinking of reducing the number of fields but before, we wanted to know how feasible is to delete the company name field and get the company name thanks to the email address field. In other words: is it feasible to detect and extract the company name from the email domain later in Marketo?Thanks a lot for your help,Kind regards

Hello! Marketo Engage has a prebuilt global form validation rule called “Consumer Email Domain Blocklist” that I'd like to activate. In addition to the domains listed in this prebuilt rule, I'd like to add more custom email domains to also blocklist. The challenge with this is - it seems I'm not able to add more domains to the prebuilt rule. I also tried creating a new global form validation rule to add all the email domains I want blocklisted but there's a 2000 limit. I also tried distributing all the email domains across multiple global form validation rules and activating them but Marketo flagged that I can only have one rule active at once. Any suggestions on how I can blocklist more email domains in the global form validation rule?

How do you view the number of spam complaints you get in marketo by 30, 60, 90 days etc?

Hello,I am seeking ideas for automating the lead rerouting process for our Paid Search ads. Currently, we have a Trigger program that captures and processes leads from our Paid Search ads. These ads are generic and direct people to our website. Once a lead becomes a member of the Trigger program, someone from our digital team manually routes them to specific product programs based on the content the leads interacted with the most, mostly the pages visited, and lead scoring, which product has the highest score. We have not been able to come up with criteria to use for automating the process because we cannot predict which types of pages leads will interact or engage with, and using the highest score only sometimes translates to interest. Is there a way to automate this process? Has anyone done something similar? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

what is a static list? What makes it different?

Hi all, Hope someone can help me understand if this is expected behavior or not.  Here is the scenario:Lead comes through Marketo form and is synced to Salesforce.Sales works lead and SQL Date field is populated in Salesforce and syncs to marketo. SQL Date is a lead field only. It is not mapped to Contact.Lead is converted to Contact.At some point a duplicate contact is created and these two contacts are merged.Upon merge, it seems that the SQL Date field is nulled out in Marketo.  Though there is no record of this in the Marketo Activity History.  The Lead in Salesforce still has the correct Converted Contact Id. Contact that don't get merged will still have the SQL Date from the converted lead populated in Marketo. Why does merging contacts wipe out the converted lead data?  I don't want to have to map every lead field to contacts. Is there any other way to address this?

I am working on building out Email Master Templates, I am trying to find some documentation on what carries down into emails from the Master Template. What modules or items will spider down to existing emails, like what is the criteria. For example, I updated a social image in the template, and it never updated in the email template. Does the module in the template have to be setup a certain way, I understand why general text will not carry down into emails, but what exactly needs to be set to make sure it carries down to ALL emails.

I'm having an issue with a Marketo template (Default template: "Newsletter" > "Snowbunny") where my columns are coming across as stacked rather than horizontally oriented as they should. In my preview all looks fine and when testing/sending to PC accounts it's all fine but when rendered on a MAC in outlook all of the columns are stacking. Does anyone have any suggestions on what needs to be adjusted within the code (I've included below) in case anyone knows? If we enable Email opened and Clicked link in email in our sync options, will we be able to see in Salesforce if a contact that was sent a Marketo email opened and/or clicked the email? If yes, where would we see the information in Salesforce? Are there any prerequisites for this?

I have a campaign that I want to to trigger every time an acceptable action occurs, but once it hits 5pm, I want it to ignore all triggers (not delay them) until 9am the next day, where it will then resume, and trigger based of acceptable actions until 5pm again. How can I achieve this?

I am trying to upload a .csv file of email addresses into Marketo and keep getting an "invalid encoding" error message. Not sure why this is?

We recently ran an event and I'm keeping track of the ROI off the back of it.Our syncing rules from the Marketo program to Marketo Measure are based on having a program success. In our Marketo program I can see 38 successes, but only 32 in Marketo Measure (with status updated 3 days ago), which is one issue.The other issue is one of the contacts I dug in to has a touchpoint for the event, but despite having the same email address that touchpoint isn't associated with the Salesforce Contact for the person. In fact only 2 touchpoints out of 6 for that email address are attached to the contact. The first issue I can imagine something is setup wrong and I can probably do something to resolve it.The second issue I'd like some help with, I thought MM deduped by email address and I'm sure I read that if you have multiple CRM records with the same email address it will show all touchpoints on all CRM records, leading to some duplication.But in this case there's only one person record in C

Quick question for the community Working on a new Webinar event program template and my Ops team wants to send emails using nested email programs under an event program in order to take advantage of sending for local time zone.  We are a global company and send emails to recipients across multiple regions where there time zones can be drastically different.  My question is would nesting an email program for the invitations like I show in the screenshot below have any negative impacts reporting?  Or do we need to make sure those "email send" programs that are nested get added to the event channel?  Also any chance of double reporting in tools such as  Revenue Explorer, Email Insights or Performance Insights while using nested programs like this?   Would there be any other 'gotchas' that I'm missing?    If there are reporting issues by doing this would anyone have a suggestion for supporting time zone send as part of a

Hi all,I've created a guided landing page and have set to redirect to an external page after the form submission.I'd like to pass the value of the FirstName field and then to render it on a Wordpress page with the message saying something like."Thank you, {FirstName} for getting in touch..."Does anyone know if this is possible? Any support would be very much appreciated.  Background:We are a housing development business, building and selling plots/houses on housing developments in the UK.We have a unique, proprietary CRM that is very difficult to influence hence, the seemingly "roundabaout" solution I am about the explain. Solution summary:When a customer enquired/expresses interest about a housing development, a unique Custom object entry is created in our Marketo instance, linked to the person record. We would like to personalise a range of emails with contextualised information based on these enquiries. Our solution is to use velocity script to populate tokens within a high-level folder, that can then be inherited and utilised within the subsequent emails. This simple script is essentially, updating the token with the information of that specific development based on the "EnquiryOutletName" field. Issue summary:This is working great for us!

We are using a Marketo form on our site as our Demo form, and have built it to hide most of the fields until the email address is entered and Clearbit can check before revealing any more unknown fields. This works totally fine when the form is embedded on the site - however when we embed the form as a popup in Elementor we sometimes experience issues where we see two forms render at once or show all the fields without hiding them as expected.When this happens we see the following error:Has anyone else experienced issues when embedding a Marketo form with hidden fields into an Elementor popup?

Hi Everyone,Is there any way I can hide/or block search engine crawlers to access the assets (PDFs, white papers, etc) within the Marketo platform?Since the assets are gated via Marketo forms...so I don't want anyone to get the direct access to them.

If I remove a SFDC field's visibility to the Marketo sync user profile and then weeks or months later restore that visibility, will that field begin to sync with the Marketo field to which it was previously synciing or will it create a new Marketo field?
