Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi everyone    So I am new to this organization and when I started executing some campaigns I was asked to update the scores in the flow steps of individual programs while we were having an agency update our lead scoring. So for example, when we had list imports come in from content syndication, I was asked to give them 40 points. Well, I assumed that I would be adding this to behavior score since they filled out a form to get into the system, but I was later told they only use person score right now. Is there a way for me to remedy this and add it to the person score without having to go into individual campaigns? If I do have to do it individually, I assume I would make a campaign that takes the 40 points off behavior and then execute another to add to person? Is there a better way to do this?

Hi Team, Please assist with this, is there a way to do A/B test (subject line) of email when there is no fixed audience. We have a nurture campaign with different product suite streams; people qualify in the suite stream based to certain criteria and receive email. So would like to know if we can do A/B test for emails since we don't have fixed audience. Thanks,Deepthi.   

Two upcoming deprecations may impact your integration with Marketo Engage and may require action. Previously, both the SOAP API, and the REST API Access Token in Query Parameter were to be deprecated on 31 October 2025.  They will now be deprecated on 31 January 2026.   The Marketo Engage SOAP API will be fully deprecated on 31 January 2026.  Please review if you are still using the SOAP API in one or more of your Marketo subscriptions. To avoid disruptions of service, you will need to retire or migrate any services using the SOAP API to the Marketo Engage REST API by 31 January 2026.  Consult the Migration Guide for further information.  Marketo Engage Support is only able to provide the IP address of requests made to the SOAP API.   On 31 January 2026, the Marketo Engage REST API will no longer accept access tokens for authentication and authorization via the ‘access_token’ query param

I’m working on an email nurture campaign that includes additional trigger emails based on engagement. Specifically, if a user clicks on two different emails, they receive a special trigger email. I’m trying to manage this within a single smart campaign, but I’m unsure if using the same email (e.g., Email 1) in both the “clicks link in email” and “clicked link in email” conditions would count as one click each. The nurture contains 13 emails, and the trigger email can be sent after any combination of two clicks across those 13 emails. In the following screenshots each email from the 13 in the ‘clicks link in email’ are also in the ‘clicked link in email’ filter. Is there a better way?

I am attempting to build a new Smart List that targets members of two other existing Smart Lists (e.g., "Is a member of Smart List A AND Smart List B”). Everything in the Marketo documentation I've found suggests this is completely fine to do. However, The Smart Lists I'm attempting to target do not show up as options in the drop down. I have tried restarting Marketo, restarting my browser, etc. and nothing changes. I have built:Smart List ASmart List B And I want Smart List C to consist of members of BOTH Smart List A and Smart List B. Smart List A and Smart List B do not show up as options to select in Smart List C filtering criteria. Do I need to do something to "Activate" these lists in order to get them to show up?

Hi Team,We have a nurture campaign with three emails and have one stream.The first email was sent, out of which few records didn’t receive email due to communication limits. So, we schedule the email 1 to send via a smart campaign next day.Email 2 and 3 are scheduled to send 2 weeks EVERY 2 WEEKS.Now the question is does the stream tries to send email 1 to people who didnt receive email 1 due to communication limits when email 2 goes out ?. Thanks,Deepthi.

Thanks)Hi everyone,I’m trying to find a scalable way to report on Marketo programs that are associated with an external partner who sponsors specific marketing campaigns.My initial thought is to create a new Program Tag type called Partner under Admin → Tags, and then assign that tag to each relevant program. In our case, each program will only ever have one sponsoring partner, so the single-value limitation isn’t an issue.Before I go too far down that path, I wanted to sanity check with the community: Is Program Tags the best/standard way to handle partner-level reporting? Are there any downstream impacts or limitations I should be aware of (especially for reporting or scalability)? Has anyone used a better approach for tracking partner

I’m aware that the Marketo SOAP API is due to be deprecated on January 31st, but I’ve noticed in this release notes article that it says March 31st. That date hasn’t been updated anywhere else (as it was when the date changed from October to January) so does anyone know if that’s a mistake in the release notes or whether the date has actually changed?

Has anyone come up with a good solution for avoiding list overlap across somewhat siloed business units?, and how to identify those before email sends go out? Standard deliverability reports will only show what has already been sent/delivered etc.  I'm trying to understand who will get caught in comms limits (ie - 2 per day / 5 per week) before it actually happens. Appreciate feedback. I have a form in which I am collecting first name, last name, and email address. I have a trigger campaign that syncs with our CRM. I have a second trigger campaign that sends an email after a 5 minute wait. Is this OK or should I combine these two trigger campaigns?

Hi everyone, sorry I could not find an answer to this. We are using embedded Marketo forms in our website that runs on Wordpress. When I send emails to known people, I want them to click a link and get to the asset in our web site (i.e., not to a standalone PDF), I want them to land on an asset landing page but not see the form. How can I achieve that? I understand that my web team needs to suppress it on the web server side - is that right? (Ideally, I would love to be able to avoid modifying the URLs in emails to indicate that the click comes from a Marketo-sent email - I found some recommendation for that approach but I'd prefer to not have to do that if possible).  I need to create a program in a manner for 10000 contacts. We can say: send to 30% on day 1, 30% on day 2 and the remaining 40% on the last day. I'm wondering why there is a discrepancy in the activity log and what could be causing it. In 2 customers activity logs, it shows that they opened an email from a nurture. But theres nothing in the activity log showing that the email was sent. Any reasons why this is happening?

Hello all,A field in our Salesforce is synchronized through a Connector with a field in the Marketo. That field in Salesforce is a text field but we want to change it to a picklist. I know that Marketo deletes the data in the fields if they don’t match. So just to be on the safe side we will export it and re-import it after we change the field type.1. How could this change affect the Marketo field and other things using that field?2. I've read somewhere that typically, Salesforce picklist values will synchronize as text values in Marketo - is this correct?
