Adobe Marketo Engage

I'm trying to set up a batch campaign for a flow action that removes a data value at the beginning of every calendar year. The issue I'm running into is Marketo only allows scheduling a recurring campaign by days, weeks, or months. I'd really like to automate this process instead of worrying about remembering to set it every year.   Has anyone been able to figure out a workaround for this?

A client gets regular uploads of quarterly sales data into Marketo custom objects. They send a “your recent activity” email to customers when each quarter ends or a few days after that (could be the first or second weekday of the next month).   The email must include the exact quarter end date: “These are your purchases for the quarter ending June 30, 2022.”   Obviously this is a job for Velocity, with its robust ability to calculate dates and times. But there isn’t a built-in method like getQuarterEndDate() — we have to build it ourselves from date and time methods. Hi everyone, I am not sure if anyone has recently toggled their MPI from an Explicit to a Hybrid model, but my organization is in the process of doing so. We have yet to make the flip on the Admin page because we were wondering about its potential affects with historical data. If we were to toggle from our current Explicit model to a Hybrid model, how does this change affect the dashboard with historical months? Will this readjust the previous data to fit the new model, or will it maintain the results from previous months and begin to record future data with the hybrid model after the switch is made? I would love any feedback from previous experience. Thank you.

Dear All,   are you aware of a way to check how leads transition through email streams in Marketo?    For example, I set up a nurture stream where leads get to stream 3 in 2 ways: -after seeing all emails in stream 1 and 2 - if they don´t open the first email from stream 1 and 2   If I have 3000 people in stream 3, is there a way to visualize in Marketo how many of them got to that stream because they went through stream 1 and 2 and how many of them got to stream 3 because they didn´t open the first email from 1 and 2 stream?   Hope my question is clear:)   Thanks a lot Mattia

Hello Community,   I have been asked to remove the prospects from our nurture tracks based off of changes to a field value. Please consider the following scenario: Field X = Value A (The contacts will be pushed to nurture 1) Field X = Value B (The contacts will be pushed to nurture 2) Field X = Value C (The contacts will be pushed to nurture 3)   Let's assume the prospect who is currently in 'nurture 1' fills out another form and their value changes to something which makes them qualify for 'nurture 2'. While this the case we need to remove them from 'nurture 1'. How do we do this?   Thanks in advance.

Hi all,   We want to create a form that will mark a specific checkbox field according to the value of the the Country Field. For example: If a user arrives to the form   and chooses from the values "United States" the checkbox field will be Checked automatically,   Is there a way to check it according to his response in the Country field or any other way by tracking "Inferred Country"?   Thank you.

Hello! When a lead is submitted via our embedded form on our website, we have an email that gets sent to the assigned Sales Person. In this email, I want to include a link to the lead in SF in the email that gets sent. This requires me to pull a sub-string out of the SFDC Standard Field: Photo URL which usually looks like this:/services/images/photo/00Q3u00001g#######("/services/images/photo/" is always there, and the length of the string below is always the same)I need to pull out this part: 00Q3u00001g####### Then insert that in to here:SalesForceLink.com/lightning/r/Lead/00Q3u00001g#######/viewI have not done much coding in Marketo, but from the bits and pieces I have found on the internet, I feel like this shouldbe possible, but I'm not totally sure. I'm interested in doing this without scripting, but I can't find a way using formulas. GOAL: WITHOUT SCRIPTING, I'd like to use a portion of an existing field as a query string in an email link (in our case, OrderID). This OrderID already exists within the text of another field we DO already capture (the OrderURL). In short, I'd like the link to look like this: www.blah.com/target-page?id-to-send=123456 (or www.blah.com/target-page?id-to-send={{lead.OrderID}})Where OrderURL (an existing field) = v123456.abcdef.aaabbcc.comAnd OrderID (not currently its own field) = 123456QUESTION: Is there a way to accomplish any of the following?  1. Create a custom field in Marketo whose value is a portion of another field (a substring function) without scripting  2. Create the link such that the substring action is performed on the existing field (the OrderURL) within the link itself at the point of render/send (rather than having to create a persistent field)  3. Hi, I'd like to programmatically identify which email and link a person clicks and include that information in the UTM string of the link of the email. Is this possible in Marketo? Maybe with a token or velocity script?   For example,  if there were tokens for "email" and "link", I'd like to have the HTML of the link in my email look something like "utm_campaign={{email.id}}&utm_content={{link.id}}". If the email ID in marketo is 1234 and the link ID is 5678, I'd want the final link to contain "utm_campaign=1234&utm_content=5678".   I'm just making up tokens in my example above. I don't see anything like this in the documentation. I could pull email ID from the email after I create it but would like to automate that if possible. "Link ID" - I'm not sure if this is a real piece of data marketo generates. I would like a way to differentiate which link in the email  a user is clicking that I can send to GA.   Thanks for any thoughts!    

Hi.I am trying to create Email Templates at Marketo using API, ref:https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/endpoint-reference/asset-endpoint-reference/It creates the email Template but it does not render the html code. Why is that? I am stumped and hoping someone with more Marketo skills (i.e. almost anyone) can help.  I started with the Homegrown Marketo Starter Template and I have been able to figure out enough - through trial and error - to customize it to our needs almost perfectly. (I have attached a screenshot of the original on left and my customized version on the right if that helps.)   This is a template we will use all the time, but not every instance will call for the CTA button in the top section. And the Homegrown template didn't have a module that fit the parameters. My troubleshooting has led me down these paths, unsuccessfully.   1. Use the Free-image module in the starter template, make it full width (like the Hero2) and add the ability to have text on top. (I want to avoid having the copy in the image itself.)   2. Is it possible to have two functioning Marketo forms on the same webpage (non-Marketo landing page)? Either two of the same form or one Form A and one Form B - are either/both possible? We have tried in the past and run into processing and styling issues, but we are launching a new site and are hoping to revisit this issue. Is anyone doing this right now? Is it working? The use case is that we have a form in our footer, but we'd like the occasional product-specific form or just the same general form to show up elsewhere on the page.

However, I do see sometimes the form creates an empty lead and some leads don't show up in our Marketo instance. Can someone please advise If I am missing something or how to resolve that issue? For Duplicate Records where one happens to be a Dynamics lead and the other is a Dynamics contact record, I have to delete the "lead" and NOT the "contact". However, I want to move the activity log from the lead record to the contact record because all the lead records have been tracking the engagement activity and I don't want to lose that historical data. Any tips?

Our Salesforce admin is working towards creating a new lead record type in our Salesforce instance. Before they do so, they've asked if there's impact to Marketo we should be wary of.   My best guess is that there'd just be another Record Type ID value (e.g. 012E0000000NByqIAG) present in Marketo, but otherwise no big deal.    I'm looking for input/validation from someone who's created new record types before...   Q: Any thing to consider on the Marketo side when a new SF lead record type is created?

Hi all, we currently have a process in place which is bit manual.    We have sales owners who have multiple contacts under each of them. We email the sales owners 3 days prior to the original campaign launch to ask them "do they want to suppress their contacts for that particular campaign launch?." If they wish to suppress ( based on CTA click activity ), we add them to a separate list. After that we add the salesowner's email address manually into the Campaign's smart list as suppression.   We want the manual part ( adding sales owner's email addressess in smart campaign ) to be automated.
