Mkt_tok request token from landing page or API

Hi everyone, 
the mkt_tok is used to identify users by Marketo. I know that ther is a way to add the token in emails using ##MKT_TOK##. But till now I didn't find any other way to access the token. 

Do you know any other way to read the token? Via a token for landing pages or via the API?

First, bear in mind (perhaps more for the lurkers) that the mkt_tok identifies not only the person, but the email and campaign context of a pageview. There are also an unlimited number of such tokens per person, constantly expiring over time.

 

I’m confused, though, about what you mean by “read” and what you’re trying to do with this value. Please be specific.
