Hi everyone,   We have a unique instance which is multi-country and we are not connected to Salesforce. We are wondering how to best organise the contact creation in the database. Today either countries create manually their contacts or at a centrale level, we import excel file with list of contacts. At this stage, we do not want to provide bulk import feature to countries because we have a deduplicating process (based on 2 custom fields) and we can only partially use the native deduplication process in place.   Is any of you in the same situation as we are? What are the solutions you found to manage the contacts creaton? Eventually an external solution or an in-house developement?   Thanks for sharing,

Over the past few months, we have experienced a spike in the Batch failures pushing updates from the Marketo Person object to the Salesforce Lead object.  The error details state that there was an issue with a Salesforce flow.  The primary problem is that these errors are occurring on Flows that have been active for several years.  The error is only respective of a small number of records and possibly just one however, the entire batch containing large numbers of records is not allowed to proceed. Other people are experiencing this, per this recent support post. Marketo support has informed me several times that this is an issue with our Salesforce instance but evidence suggests otherwise.   Post to draw attention to this issue in the hopes of immediate remedy.

Our Marketo instance is new and I'm not seeing any syncing issues between SFDC and Marketo. However, I got duplicate error for several new leads when trying to upload leads. They all stated "{DUPLICATES_DETECTED: You're creating a duplicate record. We recommend you use an existing record instead.}"   The problem is when I searched the database, I don't see any duplicates. I tried email, name, and company name search. No duplicates for those receiving duplicate errors at all. Any insights? What am I missing? Thanks!

Hello!  I am new to Marketo Engage and trying to pick up where the previous employee left off.  I have cloned messages and added audience segments and then sent campaigns.  Is there any way to view the merged email that goes to the recipient.  I understand I can add my email and do a test run but I would like to see the completed group of emails that were sent to verify accuracy.  Can anyone help guide me to where I can find that?     Thank you! We already established Marketo-SFDC integration for email campaigns and will be kicking off one-way SMS campaign using Marketo as well. Our SMS volume is relatively low <3000 SMS/ trigger/month. We just learned about that we need to find a 3rd party gateway for SMS campaign or using Marketo-Vibes. We decided not to use Marketo-Vibes for its limitation functionalities.    We are considering Twilio however, Twilio is no longer a Marketo Launchpoint Partner so it adds difficulties for my team as none of us are tech/coding savy. I read that some people use Zapier to integrate Marketo-Twilio. I don't know if this fits to our use case when we already have Marketo-SFDC integrated. With our non-coder capacity, can we integration Twilio-Marketo without using Zapier? or are there other gateway tools you recommend that we can easily integrate ourselves without any technical capacity?    We are open to purchase consulting hours from either party or any experienced individual

Hello,   Creating an email campaign and writing out my draft. For some reason the breaks aren't applied correctly between the text (in HTML). Tried deleting breaks further down and making it worse. Playing around with the text for about 20 mins and cannot figure it out. 

I am trying to update the translated forms we have running that use this methodology: https://nation.marketo.com/t5/product-discussions/marketo-form-localization-translations/m-p/53988#M23260.    I updated the submission endpoint, base url, etc to use the REST API information, but I am getting a CORS error.   I am also wondering if I need to reformat the information.  I was able to successfully submit in Postman, but when I added the code to this page: https://sovos.com/it/libreria-dei-contenuti/iva/post-brexit-iva-norme-e-book-proteggere-transfrontaliero-commercio/ I end up with the CORS error in addition to some CSS issues.      I am not sure how to resolve the CORS error, as I am using the URLs provided which are all new and substantially different from both the LP URL and the direct marketo ##--app.marketo.com URL as well. 

While reading through product docs about the email CC functionality I noticed the following statement: "delivery activity (sent, delivered, hard bounce, etc.) other than “soft bounce” will not register, as Marketo is not able to distinguish delivery events for the Marketo Person from the CC recipients’." I'm hoping someone who has implemented this can tell me exactly how this appears in reporting. The way I'm reading this, if I send an email to 10k people and there is a CC address for each person (so I'm actually sending 20k emails), the send number in the email performance report would be 0. Is that true?  

Visibility Rules work for any field on a Marketo form, but they don't work for the submit button itself.   So if you want to hide – or at least visually disable/gray out – the button based on certain field values, a little Forms 2.0 JS is needed.   In brief, the code below listens for a standard (that is, non-Marketo-specific) change event, then checks the value(s) of whatever fields you set as interesting.   You set the options object submitButtonVRs to use hide-if or show-if mode, just as in the Marketo Form Editor UI. As you'll quickly figure out, each property name is a field name, and the property value is an array of interesting values.   Other options are dontDisableButton and dontDisableMktoForm. Hello,   We have a Default Program adding in Date specific wait steps to the flow of a Trigger campaign to hold leads until November, but some leads are exiting their existing flow step and being sent emails, instead of being held until November. To add insult to injury, the emails that they are receiving aren't even the next ones in the flow, they're the same emails they received prior to the additional wait step being added (weird behaviour)   In this example, John Doe had already received EM2 on 9th Sept so was therefore in Flow Step 10, and on the 16th Sept he should have exited Flow Step 10 and gone into 11, but instead bounced back to Flow Step 9 and got EM2 again? (Reason of having 2 waitsteps is that there was a change in send dates so we added a waitstep after the 1 week as leads were already in flow step 9/10)  

We have a solution where Marketo is synced to Salesforce. We receive requests from mainly two different channels, from Marketo forms on our website and from an info@ email address. Today these two channels are handled very differently. The email requests are handled in a shared exchange email account.   Some of our challenges are: - We don't have one place to find all incoming inquires - We don't have a good way of ensuring that each inquiry has been handled - We don't have a good way of ensuring not more than one person is handling the same incoming inquires - We don't have a good way of following up on Sales if they have handled the MQLs that Marketing has sent them   We think a good way to set up the system would be to send all inquires to Salesforce as cases in a Marketing queue. Is this the best solution? What are the best practices for handling requests from Marketo form fills and from email in Salesforce?

I want to target the members entered in to a marketo program on a specific date. Acquisition date is not being worth for me as the date value is not stamped in acquisition date field.   But i see the member date contains accurate values.   How can i use member date in my smart list to target the people who all have entered into that program on a particular date.

I have an email performance report that says over 6,000 people were sent an email. However, when I look a the Results tab of the Smart Campaign, only about 750 people were sent the email. So I'm confused why the Email Performance Report and Smart Campaign numbers are so far from each other.   Any ideas?

I am trying to send an email to 766 people that are currently showing different levels of inactive and have previously been filtered out of our emails. I want to do this in a way that is not going to affect our deliverability record. The question is what is the best way to handle this using smart lists? Or is it safe to send to 766 directly without any effect?   We send to hundreds of thousands usually. The levels of inactive are just they are technically subscribed, but have not opened an email from us in the last 7 years or less. 

Hi, I'm strongly interested in the prefill feature without the need of a mkt_tok. I already saw that @sanfordwhiteman offers a pretty cool and easy way to make this possible. (https://blog.teknkl.com/pre-fill-any-site-any-form/) As well I think "Progressiv Profiling" is a pretty handy thing. But is there any way to combine thouse both? So to prefill the form yourself and let the form react on this? Or is there a way to change the progressiv profiling fields your own using JS? Kind regardsWolfram
