Hello! Two questions regarding using velocity and pulling in URLs from custom objects fields:1) I was curious how timed content from a velocity script acts once it hits the inbox. For example, if I have a script that "shows X URL for the next 15 days" - once it is in someone's inbox I am assuming that since a click would pull the redirect and browser that the script would kick in and if they were outside the time parameters the URL would not show/work?   Ex: Show https://google.com from 6/12 - 6/15. Email send on 6/12. Recipient opens from inbox on 6/16. When link is clicked script updates URL and original URL is not shown?2) I believe I read that URLs pulled using "#foreach" are not trackable. Does this include if the script is pulling from a field with URL as content? Hi team, hope you are doing well. We have a GTM code (similar as the one described in this page: https://googletagmanagersolution.com/tracking-marketo-form-submissions-using-google-tag-manager/) and we would like to implement it into our Marketo Landing Pages Templates. In order to do so, we think we need to modify the HTML code related to the LP template to apply it to all LP related.   We were wondering if there is a way to apply to all LP Templates (or a subset of them) at once and include that GTM code as default when new LP Templates are created.   Thanks.

Hi There, Please assist with my query. I know that in Marketo, we can store values under one workspace for a profile. I want to store similar information against another workspace for the same profile which exists in a different workspace. Is this possible?  To elaborate more, here is the scenario.  Say Person 1 belongs to Workspace India during creation with India stored as a Marketing area. After qualifying the person record, the Workspace has to be changed to Australia. If we make the update on the marketing area value from India to Australia, it will appear only in the Australia Workspace. But I want to maintain the same value Marketing area as India in India workspace and Australia in Australia workspace against the same Person record.  Please suggest how to achieve a solution for this query.   Regards, Senthilkumar.S

We would like to add Custom business object fields like appointment location, type of appointment and related information in webhooks.  As we know, only profile-level fields can be added under Webhooks, we would like to have the same option for CBO fields as well as our business model works that way.   Has anyone come over with this kind of setup to enable CBO in Webhook? I have a trigger campaign set up for some remarketing advertising campaigns and it's not triggering when anything beyond utm_source and utm_medium are in the url. At first I thought it was the spaces to %20 conversion that may have been tripping it up but even testing it formatted like (utm_source= youtube&utm_medium=remarketing&utm_campaign=DCIM-YouTube-Remarketing-TV4A-AMER&utm_content=adwords-general) did not trigger it.  I can see in my activity log when I test it, it is picking up the detail. Any ideas or suggestions for further troubleshooting are appreciated.        

Hi,  So I have already reached out to Support, my Salesforce admin and searched the web for an answer but can not find anything.    We are having an urgent issue when syncing new leads to SF when it hits the flow step 'Change Owner' .   We are getting the following error on new leads - " Change Owner: [Failed]: the record is filtered in sfdc - 00Q5I00000A3MufUAF".   I looked this up and saw it had to do with our custom sync field - we have adjusted the SF read/write access to ensure SF could accept the new value of 'true'. This worked on some new leads but continues to cause issues on uploads - today I uploaded net new people and the box did not check in SF even though in Marketo is shows the value was changed. It's also only happening on the Change owner flow step.   Anyone else experience this or have a solution? We have looked at validation rules and workflows, we could not see any reason in these two areas that would cause the field not to update.&nb

Hi there,    I'm new to Marketo and I'm looking for ways to improve my knowledge about the software as good as I can, this in order to become certified soonish. I do have experience in marketing automation by using other tools such as SharpSpring, HubSpot, Zoho etc.    Up till now I've broadened my knowledge by:  Following the training courses provided by Adobe (Fundamentals, Core Concepts I, Core Concepts II..)  Playing around in the Sandbox environment  Taking some sample question exams Does anyone have some other sources in order to prepare for the Marketo Engage Business Practitioner Professional exam? I'm looking for some additional lab exercises in order to extend my knowledge.    Any suggestions in order to prepare for the exam are very welcome! Hi, So I'm creating a data normalization campaign for leads in our database to change state/province fields from abbreviations to the full state/prov name so they can be synced to SFDC.Does anyone know the maximum number of "Add choice" options I can use in a Data Value Change, before it either doesn't work or is too taxing on the system and does something bad? With my state/prov pick-list, there's 63, and it looks like I've been able to add all 63 add choice fields, but when I started choosing "state" from the if/attributes, it takes a few moments before it selects. If this isn't a great idea, wanted to check if there was another more efficient way to do this? Maybe split into a group of campaigns?Thanks!

Is there a possibility to create a field which updates "last updated entry" with a Boolean value "True/False"   For example, if there is a field with current entry value and I require to know when was the last update entry made with a True/False Boolean value. We've recently noticed an increase in fake form fills from spam bots on a webinar we are planning to run. Name doesn't match email address, job titles are random words and the domains are all blank pages, so very clearly fake. From multiple IP Addresses but in groups of 2 to 4 and the domains from those IP addresses are always different.   I noticed that about half of them are linked to 2 emails we sent promoting the webinar. All of the form fills happen in about 30mins after the emails have been sent out. The strange part is all of the leads were new, none of them received either of the 2 emails and had no previous activities.   My working theory is that we have 1 or multiple email addresses in our database that are forwarding our emails to spam bots.   Has anyone else experienced this or know what might be happening?

Hi Team,   Please assist with this query:   We have to track engagements in marketo from the website landing pages via an ad campaign.   We have a google ad clicking on the ad (this is UTM tracking link) takes us on the website LP, website page has assets link, clicking on each of the asset link, will take us to other website landing page where we have gated form fill, filling out the form the asset is download.   Now the issue here is though I qualify in the ad campaign (I have set up the logic), but the lead source gets attributed to website and not ad channel (here channel is google) ; I also get qualified in website program for filling out the form but I should be qualified only in ad campaign.   I have set up many tracking program to capture engagements from Marketo landing pages where we can add UTMs to the assets and it attributed to the source correctly, but since it's the website landing pages, I see this issue. Hello,   We are trying to implement BriteVerify on our website and landing pages utilizing Marketo forms for email verification. We are unable to get this to work via API. At first BriteVerify (listed as a Marketo partner) told us we could add code directly to Marketo forms, but this doesn’t appear to be possible. The only coding you can add/customize appears to be CCS. We are getting nowhere with their custom support or our point of contact. The only documentation they keep providing is linked below.    Since we’re unable to input the coding directly on the form, we tried adding it to a landing page template without success. We also are not sure where to implement the code on our website (wordpress). Does anyone have any experience setting up a successful connection with BriteVerify and Marketo? If so, do you have any tips or info you think would help us with our set up? We are smaller organization and don’t have an in-house developer that has worked with API calls befo

Hello - We are trying to see if we can tailor signatures to be a sales lead's virtual business card. I know Marketo doesn't support vcf files currently, but has anyone found a work around to include something similar when sending emails... for example creating a QR code business card? I have a Marketo page where when some users fill out the form, they get an error message that says "submission failed, please try again". However it is strange because this seems to happen with only certain email addresses, and 156 people have been able to fill out the form successfully on this page without receiving the error message. When I use my professional email address, I don't receive the message, but when I use my person gmail address, I do.      I have read other posts saying that it is because two forms are loading on a page, but that does not seem to be the case. I also have another Marketo page that should have the exact same set up, just a different form, where I do not have this issue (this page)   @sanfordwhiteman, I know you've written about this issue before, would you have any insight on why this is happening?

Hi All ,   We are seeking help in building the Cart abandonment usecase in marketo. Does anyone have any experience setting this up? I couldn't find any documentation on it.   Let me brief you the usecase logic. Data will be sourced from Adobe Analytics and flow into Marketo on real time basis. Based on this data we need to send out the 3 rounds of communication. 1st email will be triggered if the products is waiting in the cart for more than 5hrs. 2nd email will be sent out 24hrs after 1st communication and 3rd will be dispatched 48hrs after 2nd communication. If a consumer makes a purchase or empties their cart prior to the second or third communication, they should not be contacted in subsequent rounds.   Do we need to create a Nurture program for this purpose? If so, what needs to be followed? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.   Regards, Neelam

Hi. I can't seem to get a straight answer as to which is the easiest program to extract lead activity data. Here are my questions and any hep would be great.   Which program would be the easiest to use (with the least amount of coding) to extract lead activity data such as "name of email sent", "lead first name", "lead last name", and "created date". Does Postman need Python if the data I am trying to extract is too or vice versa? Can Postman merge leads? Can Python export lead activity? Thanks for your help!

I read in another thread Admin role gets bypass sso.  How do I turn that off?  I don't want to have to have to remember to go into marketo to disable an account of someone who left the company, even if they were a marketo admin.
