CAPTCHA for Real Life   Sometimes we read the product documentation and we enable a new feature, but we feel like a bull staring at a new gate. (That’s country talk for “confused.”) We just don’t know what to do with it.   The new built-in CAPTCHA capability in Marketo Engage is pretty easy to setup with the product documentation.   And Steven does a great job of explaining the integration in his blog post, “Marketo Engage Form CAPTCHA integration.” But still, the penny hasn’t dropped.  You are wondering how put this in practice. I once had a customer who wantedto be able to add the form’s thank you message within the form so that they only needed one landing page instead of having to have a second landing page for the thank you message. In order to make this work properly, we took the following steps:Created the formCreated the landing pagePlaced the form on the landing pageCreated an HTML element on the landing page and pasted in the code below. Hey All,I wanted to get feedback from people using the LinkedIn Lead Gen form connector in B2B organizations. Has anyone successfully mapped work email from LinkedIn to the email field in Marketo using the connector? From what I've seen this is not possible, but I'm hoping there is a workaround. I'm trying to determine what fields are available to collect using the LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms update with the Spring release.The documentation from Marketo is here: Set Up LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms - Marketo Docs - Product DocsLooking at the preview, I see that by default it collects:CityCompany NameCompany SizeCountryEmailFirst NameAdditionally, there is a statement that says, "To accept default LinkedIn to Marketo field mappings, simply click Create," which tells me there are non-default fields.  I don't have access to our Marketing LinkedIn account, but wanted to know if anyone knows what fields are available to collect using the tool. I also did a little digging on the Linkedin Autofill, as I was thinking that perhaps the Marketo tool was leveraging that to pass data into Marketo, but the fields listed do not align with the fields listed as default with the Marketo Lead Gen Forms tool. Does anyone have any additional info? 

Hi Everyone, Long time reader, first-time poster. I see that event program is Tentative by default, then it can be Confirmed manually and once it's passed - Finished. But via Get program by Id  endpoint I see no difference in response among these three statuses. Any ideas how to check what status event program is in please?

Hi community!   I was reading some posts about transitioning people between streams and the first recommendation is to avoid transition rules and use batch campaigns. Now, is there a way without using custom fields, to tell Marketo to resume a stream that has not been completed?   So, if a record starts stream A, and then does an action that adds him to stream B (that has a higher priority), I'm moving him to stream B. Now, how can I do to send it back to stream A once stream B is done? I guess when a person finishes a stream it becomes exhausted, but I'm not sure how can I achieve this. Btw, I have 4 streams, one with a higher priority than the other.

I am currently developing the Marketo integration for our service, and there is one requirement that I cannot fulfill. I have a question regarding the Upsert request for Rest API. In the leads on the instance, there are multiple people with the same email. When I make an Upsert request via the Rest API, specifying that email (as described in the request documentation below), I expect to receive the following response: Lead Upsert Request: Link to the documentation   status: skipped error_code: 1007 message: Multiple lead match lookup criteria   This response indicates that multiple leads have been matched, and I am unable to perform the update. I would like to know if there are any API options or other requests that would allow me to update just one of the matched leads. Alternatively, is it possible to update all the matched leads? I am in a hurry and eagerly await your response.

Dear Community, My question is similar to How to get an Email Program's smart list id?, which had an easy answer:   Is it possible to programatically retrieve the smart list criteria for a segment?   The Get Segments for Segmentation endpoint lists me the asset ids for each segment in a segmentation. However, unlike with programs, there seems to be no "/rest/asset/v1/segmentation/{id}/smartList.json" endpoint. Still, the userinterface indicates that Marketo uses a usual smart list in the background - if you navigate to a segment, it has a smart list tab, and that tab's url ends with a typical /SL12345C3 . So I am not hopeless, and maybe I've overseen something obvious again...    Thank you once again in advance! 😊    

, we have 3 instsances of marketo (dont ask).but i'm having issues importing from our live instance to test. i'm using the desired settings, but the emails arent copying over, only the programs & reports. the assets folder is there but no emails. please can anyone help?   i've triple checked the campaigns, they all reference their respective emails and are all aproved.   thanks, Mike

If I send a request to get Leads with a filter of updatedAt in a date range:{"fields":["id","email","company","createdAt","updatedAt","unsubscribed","emailInvalid","originalSourceType","leadSource"],"format":"CSV","filter":{"updatedAt":{"startAt":"2017-09-01T00:00:00Z","endAt":"2017-09-15T00:00:00Z"}}}In the updatedAt column that's returned, I get dates that fall well outside the range, like 2017-02-14 or even other years. When I look at the lead activity in marketo, the date I get for the updatedAt is the same date as the "Updated" in the UI. Via the Bulk Lead Extract API, we are trying to update fields in our synced lead records only for leads that have had an update on the actual lead record. When we ask for updatedAt in the filter, it seems that it is based on the last activity that happens with that lead, not on the updatedAt field that we get in the data. It's also confusing that if we ask for an updatedAt filter range we get back records with updatedAt outside of this range. I g

Hi guys,   I got a business request from one of the teams who used to be with mailchimp and we migrated them to marketo. They used to have a page with all email campaigns sent for people to browse through old emails.  When you send email through Mailchimp, it automatically creates a browser-based copy of the campaigns and a free, shareable archive page of  most recent campaigns. You can limit parts of the copy that shouldn't be shared.  More here: Mailchimp does this (About Email Campaign Archives and Pages | Mailchimp)   How can I do that in marketo? I have the feeling I can't but I hate when mailchimp wins over marketo as with so many recent issues with Adobe, I can't afford not being able to solve business problems! Any suggestions? Hi Everyone,   Long time reader, first-time poster.    I'm storing some custom object values in a custom object and I would like to access this data when creating a static list. When I edit the view of my static list and look for a column to display these values I cannot find them.  How can I create a data table which shows me these values for each user record and manipulate it, either by exporting it or sending the CSV to an email?   Appreciate your reply Marketo community.   Thanks Rad

We have conversions that have been set up and tracking in Universal Analytics for years, and now after the GA4 migration are no longer working.   I can see the Marketo Form Listener & Marketo Successful Submit tags being fired when they are supposed to be, so it seems like things on the GTM side are working as expected.   Here is the event in GA4:     Any ideas why this event will not fire? Again, same exact setup as UA, but in GA4 will not work...

Hi ,   Client wants to transfer data from Google Cloud Platform to Marketo and they would like to automate this process.  Can we implement this with Marketo ? I browsed and found that it is possible  via third-party integrations tools. I ran an subject line A/B test and Marketo sent the sample and found a winner. When it came time to send out the email with the winning subject line, Marketo threw an error and skipped the send flow step but doesn't give any information on why.   Has anyone ever had this happen to them before? 

Hi Team,   Please help with this query. Today I noticed the utm parameters is not carried over to the destination website LP, but it used to be earlier. We have tracked programs in the past (details below).   We have a google ad clicking on the ad (this is UTM tracking link) takes us on the website LP, website page has multiple gated assets link, clicking each gated asset link takes to another website page which has a form. My understanding is that (infact this used to work fine earlier) the utm's gets carried over to the destination website page; but I now I see utm's are not getting carried over from the initial page because my tracking program stopped attributing the correct lead source.   Please help to troubleshoot.   Thanks, Deepthi.                      

Does anyone know of any implications/considerations of enabling Person Accounts after the initial sync of Marketo-SFDC using contacts? For example, we start off with syncing Leads/Contacts but if we then switch to enable Person Accounts, what are the implications on the Marketo end? Will it create duplicate fields and will Marketo support be able to merge the fields for us? Any other considerations when making this switch from business to Person Accounts in Marketo would be helpful as well. Thank you so much!

We deleted a bunch of inactive Person records in Marketo, but kept the Lead in SFDC. Some of the Leads are reactivating in SFDC and we want to make a Person in Marketo. We are getting this error. I know we've a piece of work to do around imagery, but would it just be: add in a background we have a hex option on on an image & then match it with the email hex background? would the marketo image modules allow this please?   thanks, Mike
