Looking to display a specific date, which is the First Monday of the Next Month. I have tried a number of different ways but I am not making much progress. You want to print the date of the first Monday or first Friday — let’s call it “first 𝒀-day” — of the next month. That’s when you host a recurring event.   Possible? 100%. Without a bunch of Velocity under your belt? I'm trying to sync a custom object in Salesforce to Marketo that has a custom junction/MtM object in between it and the Contact but the object isn't available in the list of objects to sync. The entity relationship looks like this: Contact < MtM__c > Membership__c. This can be read as as "a Contact can be associated to many Memberships and a Membership can be associated to many Contacts. Is this type of relationship supported in the Salesforce Custom Object sync?I see the MtM object is available for syncing, but I would also expect to see the Membership object under that MtM object if supported. I believe permissions are configured correctly. Marketo has the disclaimer "Marketo only supports custom entities that are linked to standard entities one or two levels deep. " That statement isn't clear if a custom entity linked to another custom entity is supported.Any thoughts? Do I have to use the non-Salesforce custom object to pull in this relationship?Thanks!Ben Neal

Hi, I could need some help with the following. Our Marketo instance is linked to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.  Now we have more than 18000 contacts coming from CRM, but without the company (account) data. The company details page is empty. However in CRM the contact is linked correctly to the account (company). Before, most of these CRM accounts had the SyncToMkto set to FALSE. This has been updated for all to TRUE. Yet this change did not trigger the sync of the company data to Marketo again. Is there a way that I force the account data to sync again? With that I mean automatically for all 18000 contacts that are missing the company data. A manual change of the linked account on the contact level in MSD triggers the sync back to Marketo, but seen the big number of contacts, this needs to be in bulk.

Hello! We are trying to set up a lead lifecycle within Marketo. On a high level, the leads that are not MQL'd will remain in a recycle bucket and owned by the Marketing team. What is the best practice in terms of who these leads should be assigned to in Marketo & in Salesforce? Thanks

Hi Community,We are launching a big marketing initiative in two days (yes two days!) and I have been testing using embedded smart campaigns in an Engagement program like crazy.    A few questions have arisen:    With emails embedded in the Engagement program, is it possible to disable communication limits? For example, with a smart campaign I can uncheck “Block non-operational emails”. Is this possible with an Engagement program? In testing I noticed that anyone who I had previously been sent an email and had reached our communication limits was skipped.         Related to my question above, it appears that even a cast with a wait step campaign embedded will skip someone who’s exceeded their communication limits for the week. Is this accurate?    This would potentially be an issue because our goal is to try and send as close to equal a number of emails per Engagement stream as possible every 30 days and frequen

I have to make a decision about whether to migrate away from Marketo to Hubspot in the next week or two.   I've invested a lot into Marketo over the last 9 years. I have been a VAR for Marketo, and as such implemented and supported it with countless companies. I've always believed that it was the best option out there. I've put my neck on the line many times by recommending Marketo over its competitors. Greetings, We have an email set to go out to our members who received incorrect information over the weekend. We have a newly created "Has Rewards Checking Last Month Final" CO that was created in Marketo with the correct data sources and information. However, when we apply the tokens accordingly, and preview a member who qualified. None of the data is displaying correctly.I will use the custom token rate as an example. I hope this isn't a stupid question. I have a default campaign running a smart campaign. I need to pause it temporarily while I make some changes. How do I do this? The contacts running through are currently in a wait step so I'm hopeful this won't affect anything too badly. 

I'm trying to just send over a couple of fields' data (e.g. Email address, last name, first name, LeadID, Consent source) without a Smart List to Qualtrics via the API integration at LaunchPoint, not sure how exactly to transfer it over. Can somebody shed some lights? : )

When using webhook connections with Marketo, you will often come across an API connection with a two-step process. The first connection needs to send the authentication information, after which you get back an access token, and then that token needs to be provided in the second (and any other subsequent) queries to provide the necessary authentication. Both the Marketo and SFDC REST APIs follow this model. Marketo's Webhook functionality, though, is only a one-step process, so it's necessary to employ separate Webhook configurations to get this to work.   The first step is to create a new custom field on the Person object to hold the access token value. This field will hold the temporary, generated access token value between webhook connections.   Next step is to create a Webhook just to do the initial authentication step. We've established a custom data structure involving two distinct custom objects: "Application" and "Owner". The "Application" custom object is associated with the standard "Lead/Person" object in a one-to-many manner, indicating that a single lead can have multiple applications. Similarly, the intention was for the "Owner" object to connect to the "Application" object in a one-to-many manner, signifying that a single application can have multiple owners. However, due to limitations in Marketo, which does not support a second-level custom object relationship (such as Lead <- Parent <- Child), we've linked the "Owner" custom object to the "Person" object. Hello Community,Our lead assignment rules in SFDC are powered by specific values in a picklist field. We are also running alerts on contacts with the same data. Our SFDC Admin team has just has enabled restriction to the picklist values in those fields, so that we are notified in Marketo when the data isn't correct, and can fix it before it passes for assignment / alert. We are running into an issue where we cannot pass the values to the contact record, as somehow "\n" is appended to the value when we update them in Marketo, and then rejected by SFDC due to a mismatch with the restricted values. The lead data updates are working fine. Has anyone ever seen a similar issue?For reference, the restricted picklist field on the contact record has a controlling field, whereas the lead does not. Any insights would be helpful!

Hello! I am using velocity script to show recipients of emails a different meeting booking URL based on their sale owner. Everything works fine in preview - they see the correct links and can get through to the booking page. But as you soon as you send an actual test email - the booking links no longer work as Marketo adds the mkt_tok parameters to the URL which seems to break them. An agency created a new Marketo email template for us, but it is too wide and you have to scroll to the left or right to see the whole email. The width is set at 1000 pxl, when we try to change the width to 700 or 600, it shrinks a little, but still need to scroll left or right to see the whole email. When we test the email template on mobile devices, we do not have to scroll left or right and it seems the email template is responsive for mobile devices but not desktop.   Would anyone be able to provide any information about how to correct the problem of having to scroll and making the email template responsive. I created few tokens at Folder level and used tokens for campaign request to send emails and  thought of removing one of these token from the folder and creating at program level. But when i try to delete i am getting the following message. Token is already in use and cannot be deletedI am sure, i deleted all teh occurances of this token in email template.  Is there any dependency on anything to delete this token and how do i find that ?Much appreciated your help.

Greetings Marketo Community,We wanted to send an email to customers that open a loan with us letting them know when their first payment is due. When a customer opens an account (regardless of the type of account) it is logged as a CO named HasCCUAccount. I wrote code that pulls the next due date, since this is what we want to inform them of. hi all, i'm probably way in over my head here, and its a really silly one.   but basically i'm trying to do the following: Enquiry is updated & timescale is set to within 6 months or as soon as possible (& has reservation=false) = send email OR (because i've used advanced filters (1 and 2 and 3, but trigger is always an or statement): Has reservation=false & customer is loyalty member & they’ve not visited the page on co.uk = send  email.   i am unable to add the bracketed (has reservation false) onto the trigger.i know its probably really stupid or i've set it up completely wrong:    thanks in advance!   Mike 🙂
