This post is part of a series about auto-taggingAdobe Launch TMS allows you to use built in features to deploy tags on your website. In some instances, you will be required to write some JavaScript custom code as the tagging features are not enough to achieve your requirements.By injecting JavaScript code directly on the website, there is always risks that your changes can bring a functionality or the whole website down.Several best practices should be followed by your tagging team to minimize these risks.JavaScript Style GuideYou should always first check inside your organisation if a JavaScript style guide has been defined. If there is one it is always a better choice to use your organization one than to use an external one.If there is none then you can try to adopt one that is shared online. In most cases your team will not have enough skills or knowledge in JavaScript to define one from scratch. One safe choice is to use the one defined by Airbnb.try/catchIt is acceptable for

Hello Team,Does Adobe Launch Server Side support OAuth2.0 authentication flow towards external system? Thanks

Is there a maximum number of Properties allowed in each Adobe Organization? For example, could I have a hundred (100) or two hundred (200) Properties?AdobeLaunch

Happy Monday Adobe Team,I am using adobe analytics as my data source for browse trigger and am struggling with defining the business rules for my browse trigger.I want to trigger a browse abandonment for when user has browsed more than three PDPs and does not add any item to cart. . i.e. when user sees Prodview 3 times - trigger browse abandonment and capture the last 3 skus viewed. I setup my rules accordingly but it doesn't seem to be firing Visit must include -          Prodview exists       And       Prodviews equals 3 Visit must not include    cart additions exits Include metadata  skus   question is how do I set this up to capture my business rules... ?

Hi gang, I have what I hope is a simple question for someone who has Edge and Konductor inside secrets. We are currently in a RTCDP/AEM implementation project with a team of focused Adobe consultants. As they validate our data sources and our stream of events via the WebSDK, they are seeing hits where the xdm.identityMap is missing the ECID namespace, but instead has a namespace called "CORE" which does have what appears to be a legit ECID set in the id field. It is a 38 character numeric expression. Obviously our client side code isn't setting that, so my hunch is that it's something that Konductor is responsible for. Other clues are that these hits are likely coming from clients with no pre-existing cookie or ECID, so my theory is that when Konductor has to reach out to the ID service to get an ECID, it is placing it there in "CORE" and not "ECID"? Can someone shed some light on this little mystery? You'd make my Friday! 🙂

Hello, We set up Griffon using the AEP Assurance extension on both our iOS and Android mobile apps. On Android, everything works as expected. On iOS, the post-processing always gives the error "Unable to retrieve post-processed data within the 24 hour limit." after being "queued" for 24h. However, the request details load perfectly. Is there any known reason why this might be? Or does anyone have suggestions on how we can resolve this? Thanks!

Hi,We are trying to add the AEPMobileService.xcframework along with bunch of other frameworks to our xcode project. We are not using any dependancy manager to add frameworks in the project, we are adding them manually. As soon as we add the frameworks and try to build the app we get the error: Redefinition of module 'AEPMobileServices'We are using xcode 12.4 and our project is mix of swift and objective-C

Hi Team,I am struggling to find some guide which has some best practice to write the unit test for AEP analytics call for iOS(swift) project. If there is any such document available already please share it.Thanks.

The qs_connect() command works in a jupyter notebook in the datascience workspace. However, it fails when executed within the training/scoring framework of recipe builder. Any idea?

Hello Finders,   This will be last learning of this season’s Friday finding. Don't forget to share your observations, learning or findings to win the exclusive swag.   Journey Optimizer allow you to build real-time orchestration use cases leveraging contextual data stored in events or data sources. Adobe Journey Optimizer helps companies to deliver connected, contextual, and personalized experiences to their customers. The customer journey is the entire process of a customer’s interactions with the brand, from the first moment of contact until the customer leaves. It starts with the awareness phase, where the customer learns about the brand and starts engaging. The customer will then further interact with the brand, visit online and physical sites, and make purchases, send messages, or post reviews. Adobe Journey Optimizer is built natively on the Adobe Experience Platform and combines a unified, real-time customer profile, an API-first open framework, centralized offer decis

Despite my pleas about the evils of iFrames, we will soon be implementing an externally hosted third party iFrame on our site with requirements to track user engagement from within the iFrame into our AA report suites.I'm not expecting too many bruises from the postMessage/addEventListener approach; but I have a few questions about about best practices for links from within the iFrame to other pages on our site.Elsewhere on our site we fire a custom link on most clicks, and I'm certainly hoping to do something similar here.Should the link destination be included in the postMessage and then the actual navigation be handled from the parent page by Launch after the custom link fires?  Or should the parent postMessage back to the iFrame after the custom link, so the navigation can proceed?  I'm more than a little worried on what happens with referring domain/URL and a number of other variables, if this is the case. Thanks in advance for your time.

I am a novice and know how to add rules into a library, point to development, and build.  There are currently no libraries pointing to development.  Lately, when I try to build, I get multiple of the same error (see below).  Any idea how to fix this?  I am connected to our company VPN but most others are as well and do not seem to have this issue. Failed to fetchDetails:{ "lensCode": "networkError", "dateTime": "Tue Jul 07 2020 15:32:19 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)", "message": "Failed to fetch", "urlAtTimeOfError": "https://launch.adobe.com/companies....

I am trying to send push notifications via ACS , for which we need to see the apps or properties created in launch in AEP SDK of ACS but the technical workflow which runs to sync the app in ACS is showing error (attached ss), no idea how to resolve this??

Hi, I just completed my AEP certification on Adobe Uni. However I am not aware on where / how to I download my AEP certification badge. Can you please help guide me ?Regards,Akhil

There is a rule, that is set up properly to exclude actions for URLs, that contain mysubstring. This rule works fine - it doesn't run a javascript code if the URL contains a mysubstring substring. However, I need to make an exclusion from that rule, if the URLs additionally contain myspecialsubstring substring. As result, I need to modify Right Operand input (its current value is simply mysubstring ) with something new. What should I put into that field (probably regex rule) ?  Thank you. P.S. This page https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/data-workbench/using/dataset/c-reg-exp.html?lang=en# didn't help me too much.

Authors: Erin Davis, Russell Stringham, along with several product managers and engineers across Adobe who contributed to these cookie updates What can I gain from reading this article? Starting February 4, 2020, Chrome 80 will treat cookies with no SameSite value as SameSite = Lax, a setting that prevents a cookie from being used in a 3rd-party context, or "cross-site." Chrome will require developers to set any cross-site cookies to SameSite = None and label them as secure. New or existing cross-site cookies without proper labeling and the secure attribute for cross-site cookies will be unusable on Chrome 80 and above. Adobe standard visitor cookies for Analytics, Target, Experience Cloud Identity Service (ECID), Audience Manager, Advertising Cloud, Bizible and Marketo Munchkin will include the necessary labeling by early January. Most updates are in production today. Adobe cookie updates are handled via Adobe servers; no JavaScript library updates are needed by our customers. Custo

is it possible to pass data element with report suite list from datalayer or dynamic list report suites in the Edge configuration ? I see in Edge configuration, we only have option to add report suite manually. In my client current setup, all report suite are picked from data layer and setup for tracking. We need to do POC with Web SDK with similar configuration. is it possible with Web SDK and Edge configuration ? Any thoughts or if any one tried similar usecase ? I am referring to configuration mentioned in below document :https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-platform/edge/fundamentals/edge-configuration.html

Experts, we are trying to migrate from AA (AppMeasurement) to Web SDK. We wanted to make sure the bot/IP filtering could be applied for AEP data collection and have 2 questions here:We do not get unwanted (bot) data in AEP data sets. So is there way to filter out bots (at the edge/data collection level)For AA, when the hits are sent by Web SDK and edge will it go through the existing bot filtering rules as usual? Thanks!

I've got a live chat widget dropped on our site via Launch rule. I would like the script to be active during our support hours only. What kind of condition could I use to restrict firing this rule during during our support window? (8 AM to 8 PM CT) Thanks!
