How to restrict the assets of a particular folder from appearing in global or filter search results based on role of a user

We are exploring the use of synonyms to help our search results, but it raises the question of what users are entering for their search.  To my knowledge, I've not seen a preset report for this and nothing ACS AEM Commons - this is for an Assets (Author) only implementation.

Dear all, I was wondering how S7 can differentiate between "stage assets" and "prod assets". Example:- Path uploaded: /content/dam/myprojectassets/myasset.jpg- S7 brand name: mybrand- If I upload an asset from my stage AEM to S7, the S7 name is myasset.jpg- If I upload the same asset from my prod AEM to S7, the S7 name is again myasset.jpg That being the case, requesting the asset via its S7 URL, say s7host.scene7.com/is/image/mybrand/myasset.jpg will show the same asset, be that uploaded from Stage or Prod environment. So there is an obvious potential issue that a stage image push to S7 will override a prod image, due to using the same image name. What is the setup required to ensure stage assets are pushed to S7 without the danger of overwriting prod assets? Also, how to ensure delivery of stage S7 assets from a stage frontend, and prod S7 assets when requesting them from a prod frontend? If I missed something in the documentation please point me to

Hi All,We have a scheduled task that triggers a workflow which brings/imports assets from a ftp server/site. these assets are of type .psd (with average file size 35-40 MB).We are observing lot of errors of type OakState0001 in log files, the asset count is fine...I mean all the assets are getting downloaded from ftp site and uploaded into AEM.But there are quite a few errors in logs....and this causes lot of workflow failures in workflow console.Apparently, there is some conflict arising with (DAM-Update-asset) workflow and workflow process that brings these assets from FTP site.We enabled ConflictValidator logs and could see something like below --org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.commit.ConflictValidator Commit failed due to unresolved conflicts in /content/dam/projects/company/january/012120_set_e/retouched/21PSDW_INSERT.jpg/jcr:content = {addExistingProperty = {jcr:lastModifiedBy = {workflow-p...,customer-asset-...}}} org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.commit.ConflictValidator

Hi All. I am trying to figure out a way to read the metadata of the smart cropped images. I see that images generate smart crops(via URLS) with whatever Image profile I set but I cannot find any property that is being created for the smart renditions in the JCR. I also sometimes see a property called “ips-job-handle”  of type “String[]” and e.g. value of “j|228284||CQ5_batch_upload_Dynamic Media Smart Crop_1612479939407|365187081” being created and it is not consistent across all the images uploaded. Also that property doesn’t give any information about how many smart crops are being generated. Is there a way to look for the metadata of the smart crops?

Hello, We have a requirement where we need to add custom field validation when creating a content fragment (CF) using a custom content fragment model (CFM).Currently when I create a CFM, I only see some limited option like can mark field as required or specify max char limit etc. But what if i need to create a custom date field called "Age" where I can specify Regex or logic that selected date can not be in past date etc, something like that... I know we can create custom data types which I can use in my CFM but I dont see option to add validations on field link Regex, compare values, compare date value with current time etc. We are in AEM 6.5.5.

Hi Everyone, we tried to implement synonyms in AEM. After building the solution, it is no longer working in AEM instance.  Expectation: Actual Result: I would like to know if you have encountered this issue?

I have a dilog multifield which is having name property. / data . Now also i have a node and child node associated in content folder where page created.now can i map direct node and subnode name to dilog multifield so that i can display diloges value in page properties.currenlt i am having a array of data property for my page and same propery name is given to dilog in page rendering component its working fine .but now i have node and subnode instead of property how can i display the nodes in dilog? Is it possible to share assets in the DAM with other websites in WP or another CMS?

We segregate all less used assets(inactive) to an archive folder in a dam path.These assets keep growing(thousands of assets) as we have daily job running which will move inactive assets to archive.To improve performance of asset search it would be useful to exclude the archive folder/path from search.What is best way to do so?

Hi Experts, We have a requirement to save the sort settings in the list view on the author (as in aatched screen) so that a user who frequently uses the same sort can return to those settings. For example, if a user sorts according to "size," the user will see that sort as a default when they return to list view. Situation: 1 Author, 3 Publish instances using a shared file datastore (binaryless replication).What is the best way to run Data Store Garbage Collection?  Should it be run on all instances or really just Author since really, author will house all data?

Hi,We have Dynamic Media configuration and image url without any parameters(https://xx.scene7.com/is/image/mycompany/image) is of 400*267, as a result we adding a preset to increase height and width which makes all images uniform in size. But our requirement is that images needs to be displayed with original dimensions. If scl=1 parameter is used for an image( with original dimensions width=8589 and height=5726, says illegal image size. If original dimension is not possible for such images, we might want to have same aspect ratio.Any inputs on this would be highly helpful. ThanksSrikanth

Hi team,We have sandbox environments earlier setup on windows system. while later envs are decided to install linux system. To align the envs, we'd like to migrate the sandbox env from windows to linux. Would you please kindly suggest formal and easy way to do that? while the data store is about 33G. Thanks a lot.

I am working use case where I need to dynamically add the preset or smart crop based on window resolution.(without using responsive preset) I want to get all presets(url) or smart crops(url) which are configured in AEM then pick the appropriate preset url and update the image url based on resolution. Is there any way to get all the configured values? I have integrated Dynamic Media scene7 Mode with my AEM 6.5.5.0 environment. 

Assets.html not showing folders and assets inside after build. We need to restart the querybuilder configuration to getting it working. GET http://host:port/api/assets/myfolder.json Returns an object that contains "entities", an array of objects where each is a folder within "myfolder"But when I do the same for a folder that contains assets...GET http://host:port/api/assets/myfolder/mysubfolder.json  There is no "entities" key at all."properties" is there (as well as "links", "class", and "actions"), and this contains paging information that shows me that there's something there ("total" > 0), plus I have links for "next" (and "previous" if I follow a "next" link), but I don't actually get the entities listing.Note: on the web interface, every asset has a flag that says "REQUIRED METADATA MISSING". Would this be why they are excluded from the API? Can that be changed?Note: I am a beginner with only 1 hour of experience with AEM! Just trying to do a simple integration with a project management app. Thanks!
