Adobe Experience Manager

When designers are using Asset Link to link to image files in the DAM via InDesign, the DAM is relating it to a duplicate image from a different path when the InDesign file is uploaded to the DAM. We have a current workflow that requires us to create duplicates. I am working on changing that workflow to eliminate the need for the duplicates but we aren't ready yet to do that. So my question is: When files with linked assets are uploaded to the DAM does AEM look for the first asset with that hash to relate it to or does it look for the one originally specified by Asset Link?

Hi,I am trying to add decimal default number on numeric box component on Adaptive form.AEM version is 6.5.24 and Adaptive forms are build using foundation components.I can see this error on trying to add decimal number. It says “Please enter a value this is a multiple of 1”. after selecting Decimal data type. I tired float as well, but I get the same error.Appreciate any assistance here. Thank you.

Requesting solution/approach for using and maintaining global component policies across multiple sites. Current project using common components across sites and policies are maintained in below path/conf/global/settings/wcm/policies/…buttonThe requirement is to use the same button component style policy for the project specific template placed under/conf/myproject/settings/wcm/template/my-template/Is there any way to map the common policies for site specific templates without duplicating and maintaining the same policy under project /conf so that we can see style policy icon in editor?Cross conf reference is possible ? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have a user who seems to have all-but-Admin rights to AEM Assets, and has access to Content Hub. He is however unable to share Collections. When he creates a Collection, the only option for who has access is “Only you and admins can view and edit”. He says he has previously been able to create a collection and give public access, but this was only to one Collection. We’ve not been using Content Hub for too long so not sure what I might be missing!Thank youLana 

Hello Adobe Team, currently modern image formats are not fully supported end-2-end.In the CF EditorAVIF = Asset reference can be selected, NO preview image shown to authors. The delivey through Dynamic Media with OpenAPI is workingJPG XL = Asset reference can be selected, NO preview image shown to Authors. The delivery through Dynamic Media with OpenAPI is NOT able to render it. Thanks,Tim

Hi all,we are registering API client ID’s in an api.yaml (see https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/implementing/developing/open-api-based-apis) and deploy them with a config pipeline.The documentation describes that for secrets can be used placeholders (see https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/operations/config-pipeline) Something like shown here seems not to work: kind: "API"version: "1"data: allowedClientIDs: author: - "${{MY_AUTHOR_CLIENT_ID}}"We added the values as secrets with “Service Applied: All” in cloud manager configuration but it only works with specific values directly in the api.yaml.Do you know if this not supported kind: API?Best,Mark

In our Adobe Experience Manager internal portal(Azure OIDC auth 6.5 instance) the homepage invokes a few APIs that fetch data from a database and store user-specific responses in Redis.We normally conduct performance testing with 18,000 concurrent users (2 publishers with ~9,000 virtual users each) over a duration of 30 minutes. Prior to the upgrade, all API responses were consistently under 1 second.Recently, we upgraded to AEM 6.5 LTS (SP21) running on Java 21. After the upgrade, under the same load conditions, the average API response time has increased significantly to around 11 seconds.There are no functional issues observed, and all APIs are working as expected. However, this performance degradation is only noticeable during load testing.Has anyone encountered similar performance issues after upgrading to AEM 6.5 LTS SP21 or moving to Java 21? Any insights or areas to investigate would be helpful.

Hi community,  We want to share details about a critical issue affecting AEM 6.5 LTS SP1 and AEM 6.5 LTS SP2 customers who perform offline compaction using oak-run.  --- What is happening  After running offline compaction via `oak-run compact` followed by two rounds of online garbage collection (GC), AEM instances were throwing SegmentNotFoundException (SNFE) and becoming inaccessible.  Who is affected  Customers on AEM 6.5 LTS SP1 or SP2 who have run offline compaction with an oak-run jar that does not include this fix. This was a blocker for all customers upgrading to AEM 6.5 LTS SP1/SP2.

Has anyone else had any issue with their Condition Presets resetting back to nothing selected in the preset? Sometimes it happens in the source language and sometimes in one of the target languages, but not the others?When it happens in the source language, it had existed and the settings were saved, then a few months later it is zeroed out.

We are building a solution in AEMaaCS to notify 3rd party system whenever a DAM asset is created, updated, or deleted — covering all asset types including images, documents, Content Fragments, and videos.Our approach uses AEM Eventing (Adobe I/O Events) with an Adobe I/O Runtime Action as the processor, which then forwards the event payload to 3rd party log monitoring system.One key question before we finalize the design:Will DAM asset events fire consistently from both the new Assets View console and the Classic Admin View (/assets.html)? Hi all, I am relatively new to AEM. I apologize in advance for the long message. I am an admin/owner for our AEM account at my job. My question pertains to my users who aren’t admins themselves, specifically our design team. They are currently uploading folders from their computers to a specific folder in AEM and we need for them to be able to add an existing metadata profile to that folder they uploaded so they can then enter the appropriate metadata info. Are there ways for users to do this, or do they need to be admins?I have created a custom folder metadata profile in Tools > Folder Metadata Schemas. Through Folder Metadata Schema Forms I am able to select this custom profile I created and then apply it to any folder in our AEM space. When I ran some testing with one of my users, they were able to access Folder Metadata Schema Forms through Tools, however they didn’t have the ability to apply the schema to a folder (presumably because they aren’t admin level). I have created the below config file and installed it into RDE:config/api.yamlkind: "API"version: "1.0"metadata:  envTypes: ["rde"]data:  allowedClientIDs:    author:      - "YOUR_APP_BUILDER_CLIENT_ID" This is working fine for Content fragment OpenAPI. However it seems to be throwing “IMS Client ID not allowlisted. Allowlist the Client ID using the Configuration Pipeline.” for  Sites/Pages Management API (/adobe/sites/sm/ and /adobe/sites/pm/). Is there any API specific configuration that needs to be installed?Thanks in advance!

Hi  I was hoping someone could help me understand how the binding works with fragments. We created a address fragment and used it on our Adaptive form. The Adaptive form is already bound to a .schema.json. The address exists as a panel under Personal Information. So, we replaced this address panel with a fragment and bound the fragment to “$.yourinformation.address” where “yourinformation” is the parent panel. The fields within the fragment are all bound to themselves like $.street etc.When we submit this form, the JSON shows the address outside of yourinformation. This is not matching with the .schema.json and so prefilling is failing on the XDP. Below are the screen shots i have attached.
