Hi Community, I’m creating Content Fragments for multiple languages in AEM. Each translation ends up as a separate fragment with its own UUID.Is there a recommended way to link or associate these fragments together so we know they represent different translations of the same object? Thanks for your help!

Hey there, does anyone here know if a Brand Portal user with Editor or Viewer level can share collections they create with other Brand Portal users? At the moment my Brand Portal instance only allows (BP) administrators to share collections with specific users. I would love users to be able to share amongst colleagues or other users (not the public option, but to specific users they want their collections to be shared with).

Hi,I’m working in a document-based authoring environment where content is managed through structured documents (possibly XML or JSON via an Enterprise Data Store). I need to fetch the placeholder text for an email input field dynamically from the EDS document and display it in a web form (as shown in the attached screenshot).Could someone help me understand:How do I retrieve the placeholder text value from a structured document in the EDS?What tags or keys should I look for (assuming XML/JSON)?What is the recommended approach to bind this value to a frontend form field's placeholder attribute?Are there specific APIs, query mechanisms, or CMS features used to extract such values in document-based systems?How do I ensure this content remains manageable for authors/editors without needing code changes?Any guidance, best practices, or example implementations would be really helpful.Thanks!

I already have a site running on AEM Cloud that was created a couple of years ago using the standard author and publisher flow. The site has multiple pages that are working fine.Now I want to integrate and utilize Edge Delivery Services (EDS) with this existing site and its pages.I have already gone through https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/events/experience-manager-gems-recordings/gems2024/aem-authoring-and-edge-delivery It says that a new site needs to be created and a GitHub repository must be linked to it, after which I can add pages to that new site. But what happens to the pages that already exist in other sites? Do I have to manually migrate all the pages from site XYZ (built using the standard author and publisher flow) to the new site ABC?

Hi, Is there a way to retrieve the asset's metadata properties during a re-upload? Currently, when the same asset is re-uploaded, all the previous metadata properties are lost because new metadata is being written. In our current project, when publishing a page, the workflow includes an approval process after which the page is given an onTime property so that it will be published automatically at the specified time. However, when the workflow adds the onTime property to the page, AEM first unpublishes the page and then republishes it automatically once the specified time is reached. My question is: when adding the onTime property to a page (e.g., /content/projectA/mypage/jcr:content), is it possible to suppress AEM’s default behavior of unpublishing the page? For reference, when the onTime property is added to content under /content/dam, the content is not unpublished—instead, it is simply published automatically once the onTime is reached.

We have started a workflow and assigned it to some user/group. Now, the notification goes to the respective user/group and they can view it by clicking on the bell icon.Now in inbox where we have the assigned tasks - there are some inbuilt options like "Complete", "Payload" etc that comes up when any workflow related task is selected. Refer to the following image for further clarity.Now, my requirement is to have custom options put in here as well - something like "Reject" which will straight away remove the task from the queue and send it back to the initiator of the workflow (author). And another one should be "Archive" which will basically have the page (if published) unpublished and then save it in some folder named Archive. Need some help on how to implement this.

I am trying to follow the documentation for creating Core Components based form fragments. It mentions to use template based on Core Components:But there are no template types or templates available for it. I have created and deployed the AEM project using archetype 45 as suggested in the documentation but there is no template for form fragments, only for creating form.Any help on this. cc @kautuk_sahni   

Hello, We are currently facing a problem while converting a docx document to a PDF format using Adobe Experience Manager 6.5, The issue arises when the word document contains a double prime symbol (″). As a result, the generated PDF is corrupted, and the content following this special character is not fully displayed. Hi all,I'm facing an issue with Universal Editor connecting to my local AEM Author. I'm following react headless tutorial with wknd boilerplate and running local-ssl-proxy --source 8443 --target 4502 / local-ssl-proxy --source 8001 --target 8000 /  node universal-editor-service.cjs as recommended. Even so, after added the data-aue-prop, data-aue-type, and data-aue-label (instrument-to-edit-content) the editor tries to fetch CF details from 8443 when selecting the "team members" component and get status 302 with no body to the following endpoints:https://localhost:8443/content/dam/my-project/en/john-doe.4.jsonhttps://localhost:8443/content/dam/my-project/en/alison-smith.4.jsonStill able to add, remove and edit the members and every property of the teams component. Hi All ,  I have a servlet ajax call in my JS file using path type  and this JS file is not part of any component but a theme clientlibrary used for one of our child website. I want to convert that servlet path type to resourceType for cloud. How is the best approach to handle such Servlets and how we can convert to resourcetype.

From my understanding, it is common to create multiple content fragments of an object in order to support multiple languages. However, when doing so, we will result in multiple content fragment UUIDs. In such a case, what is the best way to associate these content fragments so that we know they are just different translations of the same object? I have thought of 2 different approaches. 1) Simply using the native "title" field as an ID field, input the same value for the multi-lingual content fragments- This seems to work, but I am not sure if the field should be used as such. And if this will break certain AEM structure in the long run. 2) Adding a custom field called "id" and inputting the same value for the multi-lingual content fragments To be honest, it seems like the AEM content fragment is relatively weak in handling multi-lingual. Other solutions in the market usually bundle all languages in a single object... Or did I miss out some basic principles in

We are experiencing an issue where a specific JavaScript file is not loading properly in our AEM environment. The issue persists even after restarting the AEM instances hosted on AWS. The JS file is either not loading at all or returning a 404 error. We have verified that the file exists in the repository. Restarting the AEM instances did not resolve the issue. No recent changes were made to the file or its path. I would like to reassign the administrator role to two other users. I keep receiving this error message when I attempt to log in to the Adobe Admin Console.   I have been one of only two admins for nearly 10 years. I have a use case that is resource-intensive, and I cannot run it on the author instance. Instead, I want to execute it on a single publisher, save the output as a DAM file, and then sync it across other publishers.To achieve this, I decided to use Sling Content Distribution (forward distribution). Here’s what I’ve done so far:Set up a forward distribution agent and a trigger on the source publisher.Configured a local distribution package importer on the target instance.From the source publisher side, the connection test is successful, and when I try distributing content from the console it reports “package delivered.” However, I don’t see any updates reflected in the target instance.One observation: I can see the POST calls in the target instance’s request logs, but the actual content updates aren’t showing up. Has anyone faced a similar issue or know what I might be missing in this setup? 

When navigating the Content Tree in AEM every time I open a folder in the siderail it shows the folders AND assets in that folder in the siderail. It shows the same thing in the results pane as well. Are we able to set up AEM to ONLY show the folders in the Content Tree side rail and not show the assets there? It makes it so much more difficult to navigate the folder structure when a ton of assets show up in it and there is no reason to see them in the siderail since I see them in the results pane.

We'd like to build common layout patterns as experience fragments so that an author can drop in a pattern and then break the connection to the XF so that they can directly edit the content on the page. For example, a pattern of heading + 3-columns + cards in each column, or a pattern for a campaign page using an image hero, HTML block, text, icon tiles for unique selling points. We want to do this in order to avoid having to build multiple different templates - that wouldn't give us the flexibility we're looking for as then we have to maintain multiple templates unnecessarily. However, I can't see an option to break the connection to the original XF (eg with an inheritance chain disconnection). I thought this existed but is this only when creating launches?Keen to know if anyone has ideas about how to achieve what I am trying to do.
