So I have a Sling servlet that reads data from another API (let's call it APIX) and APIX gives me the data in JSON format. When I debugged my code, it seems the response I get from APIX is intact. When I pass the JSON I got from APIX to browser, I can see that AEM has "link checked" all the liks I have in the JSON. I don't want AEM to do anything with my data. How can I do it?I called the Slng servlet by typing this URL in my browser: http://localhost:4502/servlets/getpublications?name=john.smithThis is the code I used to pass back the JSON response.response.setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8");response.setContentType("application/json;charset=UTF-8");printWriter.write(jsonResponse);Thanks!

I am using granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/select inside coral multifield. If I select any value in drop-down and submit the dialog, value is stored in jcr:content  but if I open the dialog again drop-down does not populate stored value.I am working on AEM 6.3 SP1 Cumulative package 2, coral ui 3 and for multifield I am using acs-commons-3.14

We are using the Style System in order to apply classes for our components. In one of our components, we are using the cq:styleDefaultClasses option, which applies the correct classes by default on the author environment. However, when published, the default css classes are not applied. We are using AEM 6.5 When the author manually selects a style, the css classes are applied on both author and publish environment. The issue only occurs with default css classes, when the author does not select any style.Has anyone faced this issue?

Hello everybody,we wan't to add an additional web rendition to our assets, which we made trough a new flow in the workflow "DAM Update Asset".We chose the flow "Create Web Enabled Image" and this works for new assets.Of course we wan't to add the new rendition to all existing assets. I thought that this could be done with "Start Workflow" with that workflow and then choosing the right path to the dam.But nothing happens. No one of the existing assets are affected. When I look into http://host:port/workflow I see that the workflow has failured:com.adobe.granite.workflow.WorkflowException: Process execution resulted in an error  at com.adobe.granite.workflow.core.job.HandlerBase.executeProcess(HandlerBase.java:204)  at com.adobe.granite.workflow.core.job.JobHandler.process(JobHandler.java:261)  at org.apache.sling.event.impl.jobs.JobConsumerManager$JobConsumerWrapper.process(JobConsumerManager.java:502)  at org.apache.sling.event.impl.jobs.queues.JobQueueImpl.startJob(JobQueueImpl.java:29

Hi All,I am planning to create a PDP page using SPA. Traditional way of doing is getting the data from hybris and AEM side will create the component and display the product. Now SPA came to the picture, who will create the PDP component? is it SPA  team or AEM? is SPA for creating PDP page is a good practice? if yes please explain the flow Thanks,Mike

protected void doPost(SlingHttpServletRequest req, SlingHttpServletResponse resp) throws IOException {BufferedReader reader = req.getReader();try{String line = reader != null ? reader.readLine() : null;}finally{reader.close();}The above code went for a review with the Security team and the following comments were received:BufferedReader.readLine is susceptible to DOS (Denial of Service) attacks (line of infinite length, huge file containing no line feed/carriage return)Resource exhaustion for the StringBuilder variable (cases when a file containing data greater than the available memory). How to resolve the above issue?

Hi,I am trying to write a simple listener for Touch UI dialog. I have two text fields and when I open the dialog, I want to hide one of the text field. I have couple of articles and they just explained how to show some alerts/email validations. https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-touchui-validate.htmlBelow is my code:(function ($, $document) {    "use strict";    $document.on("dialog-ready", function() {        $(window).adaptTo("foundation-ui").alert("Open", "Dialog now open, event [dialog-ready]");        var $form = $(this).closest("form.foundation-form"),            title = $form.find("[name='./jcr:Heading']"),            message, clazz = "coral-Button ";        title.hide();    });})($, $(document));But the hide is not working. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Expression Customizer is an extension of Expression Language and available since AEM 6.3, but i have seen very few developers making use of it. Nearly in every AEM sites project we came across a scenario where we need to update component dialog field values based on selection in design dialog. For example hiding a title field in dialog if we select hide title checkbox in design dialog. In order to implement this requirement, usually developers write custom java script/jquery in client libraries and add cq.authoring.dialog client library category to it, to trigger js when content authors open dialog. But writing this java script code is a time consuming process and waist lot of productive time, because dialog's are getting complex day by day.Expression Customizer provides implicit cqDesign object which developers can directly use inside dialog field properties and update dialog visibility/behavior dynamically based on design dialog selection.I have tried my best to explain below topics:-

Multifield dialog-<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:cq="http://www.day.com/jcr/cq/1.0" xmlns:jcr="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0" xmlns:nt="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/nt/1.0"    jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"    jcr:title="List Collection"    sling:resourceType="cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog">    <content        jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"        sling:resourceType="granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/container">        <items jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured">            <tabs                jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"                sling:resourceType="granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/tabs"                maximized="{Boolean}true">                <items jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured">                    <Basic                        jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"                        jcr:title="Basic"                        sling:resourceType="gr

Hi Team,sub:- old generation space reached 100% in AEM publishers Everyday we are seeing publisher 1 or publisher 2 having issues and due to this servers are going down and to retains servers back we are just restarting the instances.Below is the link for head dump analysis.https://fastthread.io/my-thread-report.jsp?p=c2hhcmVkLzIwMTkvMDgvMjIvLS1qc3RhY2suMTU0NDguM TAxMzEwLjc0OTQ2MTMwOS0tNi01Ni00MTs7LS1qc3RhY2suMTU0NDguMTAxNjEzLjQwODc4OTg0NC0tNi01Ni00MTs 7LS1qc3RhY2suMTU0NDguMTAxNjI0LjMwNjQ0MDMyNS0tNi01Ni00MTs7LS1qc3RhY2suMTU0NDguMTAxNjAxLjM5N zQ3MjQ1MS0tNi01Ni00MTs7LS1qc3RhY2suMTU0NDguMTAxNjMyLjA1OTU2MDA0Ni0tNi01Ni00MQPlease verify and suggest to fix this issue. Thanks,

I need to keep track of users who have downloaded an asset in AEM and send out notification emails to those users when the asset is expired. Can anyone help me with a way out?AEM version: 6.1Many thanks.

Hi,I have a similar issue described in http://aemconcepts.blogspot.com/2017/05/read-and-write-to-parent-node-from.htmlwhere i can write to jcr: content from a component dialog but cannot read  the property from component dialogmy node structure isjcr:content+     Mainpar+ ..  componentNode  [here the property name which reads property from  jcr node like ]for example name = "../../jcrbasedProperty"Works:- When submit the dialog the value in jcrbasedProperty  is getting saved in jcr:contentProblem:- The  same property is not getting retrieved when dialog is open in touch ui.Please provide any sample code that i could use for touch ui field withsling:resourceType="granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/textfield"Thanks

Hello. I am having an issue when creating a new component in AEM 6.4.5 using a multifield in the dialog. The values are saved in the node, but when entering the dialog again these values are not displayed, meaning that when changing anything in the component we would have to reauthor all of the values again. I have found some solutions following the old style of creating child nodes with the individual values, and this populates the dialog properly. I am however of the understanding that with newer versions of AEM this is no longer the recommended way of working. The dialog for our component has 2-6 columns to be authored and the number of tabs/columns to be shown is chosen in the "General Settings" tab. This is what the XML for the dialog currently looks like. I have for simplicity removed all columns but one as they are all identical:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:cq="http://www.day.com/jcr/cq/1.0" xml

Hi ,We use both classic UI and touch ui. In the classic UI we have multifiled which has data stored as   string[]   with values as  contentpath^textvalue  where ^ is delimiter. Please let me know how could i achieve the same in touch ui using multifield.Below is the snapshot for the field stored as string[] in crxde for classic UI . The multifield i am trying is below which is not working<staticconfig          jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"          sling:resourceType="granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/multifield"          composite="{Boolean}true"          fieldDescription="Configure Links Manually"          fieldLabel="Manual Configuration">           <field

I'm coming across a strange issue with AEM Assets in 6.4.Whether I use the Create --> Files option in the ui or drag and drop an image from the local machine into Assets I am seeing the following error:However this is for only 1 asset, if I click Ok, I'm then given:If I select Upload, it presents another dialog with a progress bar that does nothing. If I instead select Cancel it closes the dialog.Despite the above, the asset is uploaded and processed in the DAM. I see after I refresh the current page and it's renditions when I examine the file in crx/de.Like the above errors, sometimes I see this when uploading an Asset. However the asset in question is brand new and not a duplicate:I've tested the above scenarios in a vanilla 6.4 instance (no fix packs or service packs installed), in a 6.4 instance with SP3 and in one with SP4.All are behaving in the same way with the above errors. Please advise.

Hi,When switching between branches i sometimes get an issue where i cant log in and the styling looks weird:When i click sign in i get this url and this screen:http://localhost:4502/libs/granite/core/content/login.html/j_security_check When i checkout into the branch that was working before, i get these errors too so it's not a problem with my branch. In the past i have fixed this issue by deleting the CRX and rebuilding but this can be a massive time sink and it would be great to stop this happening.I cannot log into CRX i cannot access the sling logs or the config manager.Any help would be great. Thanks,Karl

Helloplease help me.In edit mode the ContentWrapper, OverlayWrapper and ContentFrame heights are setted to height value: 3.35544e + 07px;I read here on the form that the problem would be solved by installing the SP2.But it did not work, please urgentThank youS

Hi,we would like to use AEM OOTB functionality to support a publication workflow.  To achieve this, we have set user group privileges to deny access to all workflow models under /etc/workflow/models - except for request_for_activation (and _deletion and _deactivation).  Great: when authors upload new assets and create new pages that use those assets, they don't get to pick from individual workflows but can instead use the "Request for publication" option in sites to bring up the libs/wcm/core/content/sites/publishpagewizard and launch an activation workflow that way, for the page and each unpublished, referenced asset. My question is, how do we add to our AEM configuration to allow authors to launch a request publication/activation for individual assets in the DAM - i.e. assets not referenced in a page?  An author can upload an asset, then for that asset in the assetdetails.html/content/dam... editor get to a drop down of available workflows via Timeline > Start Workflow > Select

We are creating a new structure of project to extend the components from a Shared project which we have created.Talking about the extend components, we used the same solutions about extend the Adobe Core Components. However, we also need to extend the components policies, as the follow example:- We have an App Container, which has a policy to accept ONLY an App Item that is another component. We tried a "manually" mode which was repeat the path from shared project to my new project and it worked. However, we would not like to make this "dependency" to adjust in every new project that configurations in a manual mode.We expected for the simple solution which is: In my new project, I create a new policy and links to the path from the shared project and extends all the policy components created in the Shared Project. As a new policty is created in Shared Project, all of my "New Projects" are updated from this new policy

I have built my new AEM project using the latest AEM Project Archetype 20, and I have some questions about the integration tests; more so, AEM 6.3, AEM 6.4, AEM 6.5.After building the AEM Project, I see it.launcher and it.test module. As instructions are stated in the parent README.md, running mvn clean verify -PintegrationTests would do the trick successfully; The launchpad will be surfaced; the integration test passes. While I am trying to insert new code for making tests for my sling model, workflows, osgi services, listeners, etc... it is very difficult for me to debug my tests as I am getting errors in my intelliJ. There is no documentation at all for me to understand how to get started with the out of the box it.launcher and it.test module setup. Reviewing the sample it.test setup, the code is very confusing. The context HelloWorldModelServerSideTest.java makes no sense where all of a sudden we are creating a new object "AdminResolverCallable" within the tests. Searching on Google

One of our Adobe tech partners has asked the following....I’m currently developing an Osgi module for AEM. We are currently using AEM 6.3.3.2 and I’m experiencing an unexpected behavior while using workflows.Performed steps1. Create a simple workflow model with only one process step. The process step was implemented by me and packaged in the Osgi bundle2. Launch the workflowExpected behaviorThe workflow should be displayed in Workflow instances while running and in Workflow archive after a successful completionCurrent behaviorI can see from logs that my custom workflow process step ran correctly and that the workflow is displayed in Workflow instances while running, but once completed it is neither in Workflow archive nor in Workflow failures. Moreover this misbehavior is not systematic because sometimes it happened that it was not even displayed in Workflow instances. Here I’ve captured the node corresponding to the completed instance on CRXDE, which correctly shows the workflow as com

Hi Guys,I am using the AEM 6.2. and new to AEM. Can some one suggest me how to  get the real path of the resource directory? i.e "src/main/resources".

Hi Team, we have a situation where the page needs to author with collaboration with authors.. 1.That page will be locked by a person to edit 2. That person can invite the other authors for the collaboration3.Now original author and collaborated authors should be able to edit. How to achieve collaboration in AEM, is there any feature available ? any ideas that helps a lot. Thanks
