The RTE Color Picker Plugin for AEM   by @mukeshyadav_    Dear AEM Community, I'd like to share my recently published article of a custom solution for RTE color picker plugin in AEM. Overview The RTE does not have OOTB color picker plugin. There are few custom solutions available over the internet, however, they often lead to the following common frustrations: Time to load the dialog. Multiple clicks for simple action. Inconsistency with other Apps.   This blog is having two section. In Section 1, the plugin is developed by extending the OOTB class CUI.rte.plugins.Plugin, whereas Section 2 is more about the common steps to be followed to add an available plugin to the RTE component toolbar.   You can download and install the package from the link available in blog as I have kept the plugin component inside /apps folder directly from the CRX package manager and jump to the steps mentioned in section 2. Section 1:- Create a clien

Set AEM Local Environment and Secret Variables AEMaaCS by Briankasingli Abstract As an AEM developer developing for the AEMaaCS SDK, it’s essential to have a local environment properly set up for development purposes. You may encounter environment-specific and secret variables in your OSGI configuration files. As an AEM developer trying to familiarize new features of the AEMaaCS SDK development environment, setting up environment-specific and secret variables is non-trivial at first. Once you have done it once, it will be much easier to move forward. In this article, I will show you how to set up environment-specific and secret variables. If you would like to understand when to use environment-specific and secret variables effectively, check out the official AEM Adobe git documentation. At the end of this article, you are equipped to run your AEM local development environment with environment-specific and secret variables! One last thing, it looks like only AEMaaCS SDK has environme

Caching Strategy for AEM as a Headless CMS by Chitra Madan Overview When using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Headless CMS, ensuring an efficient caching strategy is critical for delivering high performance and scalability. Trying to follow along with this adobe forms video, but at around 50 seconds in it asks to "create an adaptive form template", which I can't see on my end. Instead for my configured folder, I can only see the options shown in the screenshot.Whats going on?

I have been delving deeper into AEM Forms features overall such as Adaptive Forms and Interactive Communication. I wanted to reach out to community to check on how is everyone managing the FDM in AEM Forms ? The examples that I come across are mostly based on Salesforce and Microsoft which are more RDBMS style. I wanted to get inputs on how the similar setup would look like for a scenario where you have multiple Rest API providing inputs that needed to prefill the Adaptive Form / Interactive Communication. Do you create separate data source per Rest API and then combine them in a common FDM ? Or keep a one to one mapping between each data source and FDM ? Looking forward to discuss and learn some suggestions / best practices on this topic.

Hi,  I'm trying to use google's authentication jar file and including the following maven entries:<dependency> <groupId>com.google.auth</groupId> <artifactId>google-auth-library-oauth2-http</artifactId> <version>1.24.0</version></dependency>This compiles on my IDE no issues, however after deploying to my dev environment, I run into a, 'cannot be resolved' issue on my bundle that requires this dependency. How do I resolve these dependencies? I have so far tried creating a bundle via the instructions here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-cloud-kcs/kbarticles/ka-17475 but have not had success in getting the oauth2 library imported or referenced in OSGI. I also tried adding:<Embed-Dependency> google-auth-library-oauth2-httpas part of the embed dependency but this still claims it is unable to resolve the library. I'd like some help in troubleshooting this as I am trying

In the below code there is use of RequestResponseFactory to generate the Html output, I would like to refactor the code as its deprecated now. also HttpServletRequest httpRequest passed to this method its also using requestResponseFacotry in the servlet who call the below method:HttpServletRequest httpRequest = requestResponseFacotry.createRequest(HttpConstants.METHOD_GET, url);  public static String fetchHtmlContent(HttpServletRequest httpRequest, ResourceResolver resolver,RequestResponseFactory requestResponseFactory, SlingRequestProcessor requestProcessor) {String htmlContentAsString = null;WCMMode.DISABLED.toRequest(httpRequest);try (ByteArrayOutputStream htmlByteArrayOutputStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); ) {HttpServletResponse response = requestResponseFactory.createResponse(htmlByteArrayOutputStream);requestProcessor.processRequest(httpRequest, response, resolver);response.getWriter().flush();htmlContent = htmlByteArrayOutputStream.toString(UTF

Data Protection and Recovery Strategies in AEMaaCS by @daniel-strmecki   Introduction Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) provides organizations with a secure and highly available platform for managing digital experiences. One of the key operational concerns for any enterprise CMS platform is how to protect against data loss and recover from mistakes, whether it’s accidental content deletion, corruption, or a problematic deployment operation. Unlike on-premise AEM, where backup strategies could vary across organizations, AEMaaCS centralizes this responsibility with Adobe and offers built-in backup and restore capabilities. Understanding how this process works, when to use it, and how to automate it helps teams make smarter backup and recovery decisions.     Key points For enterprises running critical digital experiences, protecting against accidental deletions, data corruption, failed imports, or even regional outages is essential

Hello Community,We are in the process of setting up the integration between AEM and Adobe Target. Could you please let me know which PIDs I need to use to create OSGi configs so that they are deployed as part of the code? Additionally, there are some existing configs that were created manually. I want to ensure that these existing configurations are not overwritten and that the new config is added as part of the deployment. Security -> Adobe IMS ConfigurationsAdobe IMS Technical Account ConfigurationCloud Services -> Legacy Cloud Services -> Adobe Target Configurations

In our AEM 6.4.3.0 Author instance we are seeing a lot of generated workflow packages (~1800) in /etc/workflow/packages. Much more than there are running workflow instances. The Workflow Purge is configured to remove COMPLETED workflows older than 30 days but this doesn't seem to remove associated workflow packages. Is there a way to get rid of the old workflow packages?

Page specific clientlibs in AEM   by @mukeshyadav_  Dear AEM Community,I would like to share a useful solution for enabling page-level control over Client-Side Libraries (Clientlibs) in AEM. Problem Overview: AEM by default allows authors to manage Clientlibs at the template level and component level but there are cases where authors may need the same level of control at the page level. For example, when using JavaScript libraries like Vue.js or React or any micro-frontend module, it is inefficient to load these libraries globally for every page. Additionally, managing the order and placement of these Clientlibs for optimized DOM rendering  that is it should load the clientlibs in footer which is ideal for perfect DOM rendering and performance of the page Solution Overview: The solution involves creating a custom page properties that allows authors to control the Clientlibs at the page level without affecting other pages of the same templates. Key Steps: C

Hello, We are currently facing a problem while converting a docx document to a PDF format using Adobe Experience Manager 6.5, The issue arises when the word document contains a double prime symbol (″). As a result, the generated PDF is corrupted, and the content following this special character is not fully displayed. For visual reference, please refer to the attached images above: Word:PDF : thanks in advance for your help.

Hi all,I'm facing an issue with Universal Editor connecting to my local AEM Author. I'm following react headless tutorial with wknd boilerplate and running local-ssl-proxy --source 8443 --target 4502 / local-ssl-proxy --source 8001 --target 8000 /  node universal-editor-service.cjs as recommended. Even so, after added the data-aue-prop, data-aue-type, and data-aue-label (instrument-to-edit-content) the editor tries to fetch CF details from 8443 when selecting the "team members" component and get status 302 with no body to the following endpoints:https://localhost:8443/content/dam/my-project/en/john-doe.4.jsonhttps://localhost:8443/content/dam/my-project/en/alison-smith.4.jsonStill able to add, remove and edit the members and every property of the teams component. But for selecting a CF from the modal I have no options to DAM folders and the same 302 issue in the network console to the following endpoint:https://localhost:

From my understanding, it is common to create multiple content fragments of an object in order to support multiple languages. However, when doing so, we will result in multiple content fragment UUIDs. In such a case, what is the best way to associate these content fragments so that we know they are just different translations of the same object? I have thought of 2 different approaches. 1) Simply using the native "title" field as an ID field, input the same value for the multi-lingual content fragments- This seems to work, but I am not sure if the field should be used as such. And if this will break certain AEM structure in the long run. 2) Adding a custom field called "id" and inputting the same value for the multi-lingual content fragments To be honest, it seems like the AEM content fragment is relatively weak in handling multi-lingual. Other solutions in the market usually bundle all languages in a single object... Or did I miss out some basic principles in

We'd like to build common layout patterns as experience fragments so that an author can drop in a pattern and then break the connection to the XF so that they can directly edit the content on the page. For example, a pattern of heading + 3-columns + cards in each column, or a pattern for a campaign page using an image hero, HTML block, text, icon tiles for unique selling points. We want to do this in order to avoid having to build multiple different templates - that wouldn't give us the flexibility we're looking for as then we have to maintain multiple templates unnecessarily. However, I can't see an option to break the connection to the original XF (eg with an inheritance chain disconnection). I thought this existed but is this only when creating launches?Keen to know if anyone has ideas about how to achieve what I am trying to do.

Hi all, Please point me to a tutorial with detailed explanation on integrating Google map API with AEM: The below URL results in 404.https://aem4beginner.blogspot.com/integration-of-google-map-apis Appreciate all your replies. Thanks,RK.
