Adobe Analytics

Hi   Working for a media group. I would like to keep only articles shared at least once on FB.  On the article there is a FB icon and from this event I know if the article is shared.  For each article at least shared once I would like to keep the total number of page views so it means I want to take in account the page views from this article even for users who dont share it as long as one user shares once i want to keep all the views for this article. See in the attached document : only keep the yellow articles.    Thanks a lot in advance for your help. Sophie

Hi ,   Is their is any way to override the evar values once its send to analytics or exiting values.use case scenario. wanted to update evars exiting onces /email to update not to create a new data in reporting.

HI   i've been asked to do a very basic tracking of an interaction with a table full of different cells. The business doesn't want any contextual info, doesn't care too much, but wants to know if the table was clicked on.  Fine. i've achieved that. But, they have specified that they want to know the specific number of clicks to the visitor.  So while i have created a rule that fires when they click on the table, they want to know how many clicks each visitor is doing.   What do i need to do to ensure i can report on this?  Without too much heavy lifting.

Hello AA Community, I have few of the scheduled projects and they are working as expected. But in the scheduled projects section, those projects are showing under the failed filter but they are not failed. Does anyone faced this issue before? Help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I am new to adobe analytics I have a form where i want to track a progress in adobe analytics, so i create a new event which fires an event on every click which simply send progress data like 12% or 15% in adobe side i have created a event, rules and data element which seems to be working fine and giving a result only problem is when i see the report it shows entry like Form 1    Progress 12%    Progress 15%    Progress 20%where as i want single entry like Form 1    Progress 20%

I have s.campaign captured as a data element as bellow and I am using that data element in pageLoad rule. But, I am getting s is not defined in console. How can I resolve below? or if there is a better way of implementing below code   var campaign; if(s.Util.getQueryParam('utm_medium')){ campaign=s.Util.getQueryParam('utm_medium')+":"+s.Util.getQueryParam('utm_source')+":"+s.Util.getQueryParam('utm_campaign')+":"+s.Util.getQueryParam('utm_content')+":"+s.Util.getQueryParam('utm_term'); } return campaign;

Hi, Understand that if customer re-install or fresh install the app on the new phone, a new ECID will be generated and thus counted as a new UV. But what about those cases when the app is transferred from the old phone to new phone, e.g. by using iTune backup for iPhones; using tools like Smart Switch for Samsung; is the ECID going to be unchanged and thus same UV is preserved. Thanks,John

Hi all,    Our team was working with tracking code for classifying source, medium & campaign (I know that's not correct &#x1f605) and we are getting most of the data in unspecified (I think due to the 1 week expiry). Now we have set up proper Last Touch Channel Detail based rules for source, medium & campaign with a Lookback window of 1 month and we got properly classified data for last month but the historical data is not classified (that can be for more than 2 years). I know we can only extend the lookback window to 6 months only. The only way I can think of is by exporting all Last touch channel detail data and manually classifying and importing the same. Is there a more effective way to resolve this issue?   Also, I want to know how frequently these classification rules are executed (daily/weekly/hourly)? Asking this because I noticed some campaigns did not get classified after I applied the rules.   Thanks in advance. 🤗

I have a question on capturing the age and gender on a retail site. Would you recommend passing that value in a data Layer? This would be when the customer is signed in. If the customer is not signed in then we cannot know age and gender correct?

Is it possible to integrate adobe analytics in the mobile app which is built using react native, expo managed project

Question.We are currently feeding some data into Adobe Analytics from website activity. Our stakeholders are using Adobe Analytics Workspace to view that activity results. They would like to see some 'related (linked) data' within the Analytics Workspace reports.   With the above being said - is it possible to 'link' external data (ie: from say a SQL Server database) within some of the workspace reports w/o having that data initially injected into Adobe Analytics?For example.If we have a separate database of the following:ID: {value 1,2,3,etc}User: {values of 'Jim','Jon','Jane',etc}And we are tracking the ID value within Adobe Analytics from the website.. (ie: 1).Within the reports, could we map the AA values and link/map those to the external database so that we can show that ID 1 'Jim' was accessing the site?(or do we need to also inject 'Jim' along with his ID value into AA upfront?)Any info appreciated.

Hi,I needed help in creating a calculated metric which can calculate traffic share of a particular page within a select segment of multiple pages.

Analytics getting impacted with the new Apple webkit upgrade. I assume this could be a common issue across multiple analytics solutions. So wanted to understand if for any of the clients there was a solution proposed on the same. Apple Webkit project (including Safari and iOS/iPadOS browsers) will apply the 7-day expiration cap for first-party cookies to HTTP responses set from "third-party" IP addresses. If the first half of the IP address of the response differs from the first half of the IP address of the resource the user is navigating, Web Kit will apply these cookie expiration constraints. This means that popular "CNAME cloaking" workarounds such as setting cookies from a cloud service (that runs server-side tracking) hosted on a subdomain will no longer prevent cookies from being prematurely expired on WebKit browsers. This expiration will cause an exponential increase in the number of "new visitors" as all cookies will expire after 7 days. And the number of "returning visit

I was wondering if Adobe Analysis Workspace has visual interactions like Power Bi, where selecting a segment in a visual causes other visuals to filter or highlight data. The idea is to allow our business teams to quick and easily filter data.   Is it possible to build such interactivity between the different visuals in Analysis Workspace?

We have a Report Builder files going out from a user's account who is no longer with the company.  We moved over all of their components and reports over to another user.  Is it possible for that user to get to the previous user's Report Builder projects?

Hi All,   Are there any way to add data values as labels like in excel in Bar graphs.   Refer the image below.   As well increase the numbers of series (refer the screenshot below)

Hi All, I have an Adobe Analytics implementation and I wan to avoid to pay server calls for traffic generated from BOTs. Reading documentation I see that exclude an IP by Analytics > Admin > All admin > Exclude by IP, filter IPs from reports but the hit is billed.   Is there any way to get and filter IP from Adobe Data Collection (former Adobe Launch) before the hit is sent to Adobe Analytics?   Thanks in advance!   Regards, Alessandro

I have a Adobe Client Data Layer implemented and somehow I am not able to read the data Layer push events since it is a single page application, meaning the page does not load but only the URL changes. When I use direct call rule then it works fine. So, I have told my developer to change it as shown below   Currently Implemented window.adobeDataLayer.push({ "event": "filterTest", "filter": [{ activeFilterList: "list of filters by the user in colon delimited format", activeFiltersClicked: [ { itemName: "brand", itemValues: ["Altra", "Avia"], }, ] }] });   Expected Implementation   _satellite.track( "filterTest", { activeFilterList: "list of filters by the user in colon delimited format", activeFiltersClicked: [ { itemName: "brand", itemValues: ["Altra", "Avia"], }, ] }

Hi All,  As most of you, we defined and use the Marketing Channel to understand from where the traffic is coming on our site: It's mainly based on url parameter and Adobe automatic detection. Now, my marketeer would like to have the same logic to know how the traffic is coming on their product page but also including internal traffic: - from our main page - from banner on our site - from button on our site - same rule as the marketing channel   I was thinking of using processing rule but it act on hit level, so I cannot see what was the preceeding call... Maybe a solution would be to define this in the processing rule but as evar and use the persistency of this one in the project for analysis.   Do you have the same kind of request? Any suggestion?   Thanks   Robin

Hey,   I want to analyse which metrics, dimensions and segments are used the most.    Is this possible within adobe analytics of via some extension ?   grtz,   Yves

Hi, can anyone help.  I have a problem logging into analytics.  My login takes me to this screen and I can't move forward from here. Any ideas?  Our administrator is stumped too.

I have a scheduled PDF export on my Workspace. The Workspace has a collapsed panel to improve performance. I want to retain this collapsed panel on the dashboard but on the exported PDF report I would like the panel to be expanded.Would this be possible?

Is it me or is the Data warehouse UI really unfriendly? I face the following challenges when I use the feature:   1. If I have to send data to an FTP the pop up takes forever to fully load. 2. Everytime I have to enter the same FTP location- why cannt this information be just saved? 3. There is no way to see the summary of the Request before hitting the send button thus the delivery option that is chosen is often not right 4. After hitting send instead of being re-directed to the status of the request I have raised it takes me to the home page 5. The default UI shows request in no order, I would like to see only the requests that I have raised in newest to oldest. No provision for this   Will the product team ever update this?

Hi all,   I want to see "Average Time on Site" by page. Which item is proper to break down each page? If I use "URL" segment like below, URL is both including original URL and tagged URL, so there's  duplicate. I would really appreciate if you can help me.   Thanks !

I'm tryin to compose a segment where a user enters our site for the first time and then eventually (at some point in their user journey) enters our checkout process. I want to see all pages they consumed before reaching the checkout URL, but I don't think the Sequential Segment I built is giving me the correct results.   It is a Visitor-level container where the first criteria to be met is Visit Number = 1 THEN Page Name = Checkout-1 or Checkout-2.   Also, the segment is set up only to show people before the sequence. Is this the right way to set the logic up?
