Adobe Analytics

Custom traffic reports show the number of how often a value is passed to a given variable. Not distinction between a page view (s.t) or custom link/download/exit/video (s.tl).So the title should be Instances. Labeling it as Page Views is wrong and confusing as soon as you pass the variable on s.tl calls.

Hi Was wondering if anyone out there can help....... My company works in the travel industry and one of the product we provide is the function of buying a flight and hotel together. One of the advantages of this is that sometimes a visitor can save on a hotel if they buy the package together. What I want to be able to track is the following: The hotel which has the saving on it (accomodation code); the saving that they will make; the price of the package that they will pay. I am new to implementing but have been told by a colleague that I can use a context variable. Would anyone be able to tell me how I should write this please? Kind Regards Yaser

When I set up a monthly email for a Dashboard and I have it sent out at the 1st of the Month, I want the data to be for the 'previous' month. Right now, if i have rolling months and/or a reportlet with a months worth of data, and i set up a recurring monthly email of my dashboard, i get the current months data (which is nothing) instead of the previous month.

It would be nice if you could add an event for a specific report suite id and ONLY that report suite id. Then have the ability to set that event across multiple if necessary.

Adobe Analytics support multi language for default events, metrics.ex. EN: Visit, DE: Besucher etc...It would be great to have multi language for custom events, evars and props.This would only require additional fields in the report suite settings gor adobe supportedlanguages....Ex: EN: OnlineSale, DE: OnlineVerkauf ...

Currently when you load a participation metric onto a sitecatalyst report, the data column for the metric shows percentages and then numbers in parentheses.This confuses our users and is inconsistent with the display of non-participation metrics, which show numbers and then percentages in a second column. Could you normalise the UX for both types of metric so that they both show absolute numbers in the same font, size and position?This would go a long way towards making these reports usable. Currently it is very difficult to compare pariticpation and non participation metrics. The attached example is a report showing form signup participation against visits to specific forms. Since visits aren't a participation metric, it's very hard to visually compare the two numbers with the current UX.

Presently, we can delete only one dashboard at a time. Is it possible to have an option (check boxes) to delete multiple dashboards? It's a time consuming process to delete one dashboard at a time as the sitecatalyst page loads for every delete and there is delay in the time. Please let me know if this option is already available. Adobe needs to fix their documentation for SiteCatalyst.  The biggest problem is that its not up to date & therefore not correct.  there are so many references to version 14 with no mention of version 15. This leads to confusion & quite frankly errors because definitions/usage keeps changing in SC.  I can't tell you how many times I have had to contact Adobe support just to clarify a definition or usage of something in SC.   Even worse, as an analyst I am either giving faulty analytics or not 100% about the analytics I am giving to my clients which leads to decisions being made based on possibly inaccurate understanding of metrics.   Documentation needs to be ready at the time of release.  Do not release your product & major upgrades when you don't have the documentation and help files ready.  This is first and foremost.  We need all the accurate information in order for us to make accurate analysis and in turn to help others make decisions based on accurate data. Another u

I was wondering why there are no timestamp functions in the processing rules. It should be really simple to add different type of timestamp options like full timestamp or just access to hour, day, month, year, week,day of week,...

Can we just add the "Time of day" to the Advanced Delivery Options?Let’s say I create a new Report on DWH and if I then need to change the Time of day in the same screen no option to do so.I have to scheduling the report first then back to the Request Manager then I need to click the Edit Schedule to change the Time of day, Usualy set on 3Am.Hope you’re going push this to the next relase...Many thanks,Mehdi

The built in ability to look at clustering & segments of behavior on a geographic basis is a significant natural segmentation that we can not readily do. The data to do this has been collected almost since day 1 and associated to the Page View even down to DMA but but is isolated to only Visit Geosegment reports making it largely untapped and little use. These Geosegments should be available automatically as both metrics (to break down any eVar/sProp) and as dimensions to break down any Metric/Event. It would impact the full suite of tools for even the most obvious of things like regional produc recomendations, targeting messaging & campaigns, actually discovering trends, search behavior, etc. Not to mention global differences for multi-national clients. SEE ALSO:  IDEA: Graphic Map Reports  When this is available viewing & dashboarding aswould be very intuitive.

We are rolling out Office 2013 and had to learn that Reportbuilder is not compatible yet.Luckily some still have 2010 so they can update reports, but Please make Report Builder Excel 2013 compatible ASAP

Currently when you type in a date manually in the date range in shorthand, for example 8/22/13, the tool defaults to 8/22/1913 instead of 8/22/2013. I don't think the internet was around in the early 20th century let alone tracking of the content. Is it possible to allow for this type of dating to default to the 21st century and not the 20th. In St Bernard -    set the default width of the St Bernard grid to fill the whole screen.   That way  when my key has many characters,   I at least have a chance to see the whole value AND  update the classificatios.    

This is such a useful report, I wish I can include it in dashboard.

I need to be able to correlate pros and evars - I understand that all props are now correlated automatically with all other props and evars are now correlated automatically with all other evars, but sometimes it would be helpful to breakdown evars by props and vice-versa without having to go in and change my implementation (or set up a million segments).

I've been getting quite a few questions about why "my" purchasers segment isn't returning data as expected. The answer I have to give is it's a pre-defined segment that I can't change or remove. The pre-defined segments are not fit for purpose for all businesses, for example we have multiple purcahse methods not just one so the purchases segment actually filters out more than half of our business. Can we be given access to change or even remove or hide those segments so that it doesn't generate additional work for us feeding back to the business continually about what they each do even though not only didn't we create them but we have alternative segments that do what they should do correctly.

When I break down a Geo Segmentation report by Pages and then apply a data filter to only see the stats for certain pages, the totals for a country are still the overall total, not the total of the pages it's being filtered by.  It should show just the total for the breakdown and data filter.

The current Dashboard player is probably....6 years old? I suggest Adobe either get rid of it, or develope a better version. It is kind of ambarassing when my users downloaded it, and saw the very very old branding and interface.

we have so many report suite and it is very difficult to change the report suite using the current dropdown in discover where as site catalyst dropdown is also a free form text where you can search for the report suite

Hello! In Ad Hoc Analysis (Reportbuilder), we create often reports, where content of  "Dimensions" is placed in Excel cells. When the content is unique (for example special LinkIDs), it is very comfortable with Ad Hoc Analysis. In each user's Account Information page, the Web Service zone displays the User Name and Shared Secret details.Lacks here the number of tokens used : for a user to know how many tokens he spent using the API, he needs for now to contact his company's Omniture Admin person. Would also be helpful to have a way to gather this number using the API directly.

I would like to see better documentation for APIs. All of the documentation that I have seen so far for APIs are the technical requirements, which is great. But I am looking for API business documentation. For example, how are the API tokens charged and which API calls are charged a token (ex. Report.QueueOvertime) and which ones are not charged a token (ex. Report.GetStatus). This will make explaining how APIs are charged to our development team.

Graph views can be changed within individual reports, but each time a report is re-accessed, the graph returns to the default view. There should be a way to set our own default graph views for each report.
