Greetings. Revisiting this conversation chain as we stalled out on our direct API connection between Workfront and Widen (now Acquia) late last year. We are NOW looking at getting Fusion and have actually heard initial feedback from our Acquia API person that the current Fusion module DOESN'T WORK to connect the two systems. Making it sound like a direct API connection is the only way.
Does this sound correct? How did next steps in your research/implementations about tying the two together end up going? Looking for any insights around whether this is true?
We finally just got our integration stood up! It too was stalled out for a long while until we finally got the attention of the right people. Then it was completed rather quickly. We set up our integration just to pull metadata from Workfront (not the assets themselves) for a number of reasons. So far we haven't pushed it live live, but seems to be working well in testing. Will go live live May 12th.
My favorite part is after the integration runs, in drops a link in the project that pulls up all the associated assets in DAM. This is a perfect link to share with our clients, or to use just for ease of finding all the stuff we did in a project later!
My least favorite part is it is VERY slow sometimes, takes 10-15 minutes for the data to pull over sometimes.
