Where do I create Workfront bug reports?

Certain features aren't working on my account and I've tried logging out and logging back in.

  • For instance, I can't remove views I created and never shared using "Remove view". It just hangs and I have to cancel.
  • When I create a project from a template the Parent task doesn't stay a parent, but another user can use the template with no issues whatsoever.
  • [NEW] When I use the view "My Projects" in the Projects tab, it show's someone else's, yet the view is coded to select the current user.

Is this some weird setting in my user account or something?

Hi @Angie Lawrence‚ - I would suggest clearing your cookies and cache as a first step. Sometimes our users run into weird issues like the above and clearing their cookies and cache usually resolves it.

If that does not work, you can submit a ticket to support with this link. If you are not the admin, you might have to have your admin submit on your behalf as you have to be an authorizes support user in order to submit the ticket.

If that does not work, you can submit a ticket to support with this link. If you are not the admin, you might have to have your admin submit on your behalf as you have to be an authorizes support user in order to submit the ticket.

Hi - do you mean where do you log bugs? Or do you mean you want to keep track of the bugs you logged in your own Workfront instance? If you are an official support contact for your instance, you log them here on Workfront One (Support is in the top nav). If you want to keep track in your own instance, I just issues on a bucket project.

Just some things I've noticed with your questions that might help:

  1. Did you check the zoom on your browser? Workfront only supports 100% zoom and I've had it happen where drop downs or screens don't appear if I have less than 100% zoom
  2. What is the sorting in your project tasks? Remember, you only see the Parents bold and with the arrow if you are sorting by task number. I have a lot of people that accidentally sort by Due On because they clicked it when trying to get to new filter or view
  3. My Projects has a filter if $$USER.ID is a project users on the project. So you might see projects owned by other people if you are in the People tab of that project. This happens especially if you help create the templates and forgot to remove yourself from the People tab in the template before people started using it. (Been there, done that. ;)
