WF Calendar Changes 4.2025

New calendar views went into affect and it is negatively impacting users.  See user's description below.  Is there a toggle switch to revert to old calendar views?  Older documentation also mentions the ability to view the calendar full screen and remove weekends from view.  Those options have also disappeared.

User report:

  1. It is not showing more than three emails [items] on any given day. I need to be able to quickly see everything that is scheduled for a day when I present it to my team. Right now I can’t show that to them.
  2. I can no longer just click on the date to add the emails I need to send – having to click the add button for each email is going to disrupt the process of making sure everything gets planned in an easy way.
  3. The font size feels smaller and harder to read. I get that it shows more of the name of the task, but I’d prefer a bigger font due to all the words.

Is anyone else hearing negative reports from users?

    We have some pain points too with the new calendar. I have added 3 ideas/feedback on the new calendar UI/UX. Links below. Unfortunately, I have not heard if there will be any way to revert to the old calendar functionality.

    Ability to Expand top portion of calendar or toggle off hourly blocks of time in Weekly View

        The new UI absolutely sucks. The fact that they surprised users with it, with no option to switch back to the classic view, is asinine and shameful.

        Yes, I am receiving complaints as well.  The old view was rough to but this isn't much better.

         

        Many things that need to be improved on Calendars:

        1) Expand the month view and week view to sow all items on that day.  It's fine if we have to vertically scroll the screen.

        2) On the "week" view, allow users to remove the hours/time area on the calendar.  We don't use that type of calendar view to see that granular. We just want to know the date something is due or spanning over days.  Essentially, we just want to see the very top section of the weekly view.

        3) On gantt view, allow user to go between daily, weekly, monthly, & quarterly timeframe.  We want to be able to see our whole fiscal year calendar...not just one day at a time.

        4) Expand the filtering functionality

        5) Allow for copying filters again within a calendar so can just make a change to the copy instead of re-entering the majority of the info again.

        6) Add a yearly calendar so can see much larger timeframes
