weeks as calendar weeks

is there a simple way to show duration in weeks as calendar weeks? If I put in 26w starting January 1st, I get Sept 20 as a finish date. I was expecting end of June. So obviously a week is calculated based on 7 work days not 5 work days. Other PM programs (like MS Project) show weeks as calendar weeks, which is what I would expect. (Noted that days are defaulted in WF as WORK days (Mon-Fri) which is what I would expect.) Ideas? Michael Crocken, PMP, MS Mech. Engr. Hi Michael, I don't believe the Weeks in Durations are 7 work days. A week would be equal to 5 working days (which still equates to a calendar week). It will all depend on how you define and use your Schedules (NOTE: there's a hierarchy on which schedule is used – i.e. global, project, user levels). You can define your Schedule to be a 5 day work week or anywhere from 1-7 days. Regarding your example, I would suspect the reason your date is much further out than you expect is for a different reason. It could be the aforementioned schedule is not a 5 day work week. It could be because the assigned resource has time-off scheduled in WF. There could be other reasons, but those are the items I would check first. Hope that helps.
