I'm wondering if anyone has created a report that shows available vacation time per user. We have created a report that shows the amount of vacation time used per user, but we were wondering if it's possible to create a custom field that shows a users vacation time available for the year, and then a report that subtracts the vacation time logged against this custom field.
Any help on reporting on vacation time would be helpful!
Thanks!

Hi Jonathan, I recently put together a comprehensive PTO reporting/balance system in place in Workfront. All PTO requests are entered by the user in Workfront. Here is the form and the fields we have: [cid:image001.png@01D2FBC5.08730350] Using UberCalc, we then sum up all those numbers and insert them into a custom form on the user profile (based on the primary contact on the issue/request): [cid:image002.png@01D2FBC5.6482ABA0] I’m also tracking each users PTO balance, and I also calculate how much PTO they have earned so far this year (the PTO accrual rate is based on how many years of service with the company) This information has been invaluable for planning and approving PTO, and also for forecasting. Let me know if you have any questions! Adina
I could really use some help on this one. We are moving to using timesheets in Workfront, and I would like to track vacation time, whereby approvers can get notified if vacation time has exceeded the limit or if it is approaching the limit, or even how to track the hours left.
Wow...that's an interesting use of Workfront!
We have a separate payroll system which handles all the leave accruals/requests and it's a very specialised system which we won't try to replace. At some point though, I would like to integrate Workfront with it to avoid the manual re-entry of approved time off and the various sync issues that entails.
