Hi Community, 

I'm new to Workfront, what is the best approach to learn how to use Workfront quickly and become very proficient?

    This community is also a great resource but I would also look in to some of the events and webinars put on by Adobe as well. A lot of good ideas get brought up in those and can get you thinking differently about how you use the system

      I'll add a few things:

      • Sign up for all the Workfront webinars: Adobe Experience League Events. At first there might be many things that feel out of context or overwhelming, but eventually things will start to click into place. The webinar community has been essential to my development as a system admin.
      • If you have the funds, sign up for instructor-led bootcamps: Experience League | Adobe. I took intro and intermediate system admin. I've encouraged others to take the project manager equivalent.

        I am a new to Workfront admin too! I have been watching so many videos and really looking through the resource docs available. I feel like I am at the point where I need to get into the system to start poking around for all the knowledge to sink in. Good Luck!

          If you're an admin, the sandbox environments can be super helpful for poking and testing: Sandboxes Overview | Adobe Experience Platform. You can play in these spaces without messing with your production environment, so it's low risk.

            Thanks Lindsey we probably have a somewhat unique situation where we are migrating several organizations into a single pre-existing WF instance. So for the time being I need to stay out of the sandbox while our consulting partner is setting up a recommended organizational structure to roll out. But yes, I am looking forward to being able to "play" in the sandbox.

            @brightom This was a topic of discussion in the quarterly Community Chat, and here are some the recommendations from customers: 

            • Take Workfront courses on Experience League – these are FREE and you can take them at your own pace 
            • System Admin Boot Camp ($) – not free, but 2 intensive courses (Administer and Maintain Workfront) that provide the ability to ask questions live 
            • Purchase consulting hours – you can ask a lot in 1 hour 
            • Give everything a try – fail fast and learn!  
            • Work in Workfront yourself so you can put yourself in the shoes of your users. Use the tool the way you expect your users to is really important. 
            • Playing around in the Sandbox environment was the biggest help for me. Knowing I could mess around with anything without any real consequences. It removed the fear of totally breaking something. 
            • Right here - the Workfront Community. Here you can network, ask questions to other like-minded Admins, gets real, tried-and-true advice, share ideas and more
            • Join as many events as you can (found on Experience League under Learn > Events). These are a great way to learn from experts, connect with others and oftentimes just listen for new ideas.
