We have noticed a behavior where sometimes tasks with the 'Fixed Dates' constraint doesnt allow you to change it to additional constraint types. I can make a copy of the project plan, and on the new project the 'Fixed Dates' tasks allow me change the constraint type. This tells me there isnt anything wrong with the task its self as the same task on the copy changes with no issue. Does anyone else have any experience with this having and understand the cause? I have users create a new task with the desired restraint and delete the old one as a workaround solution.

@jjimentelAgree with @skyehansen, definitely doesn’t sound like intended behavior and I haven’t experienced this. If you have manage access/permissions to set the task constraint to begin with, you’d be able to change it to something else.

I would definitely report this to the helpdesk if you're able to replicate the behavior. (if you're experiencing an error message, it's useful to mention it when you post)
However, some easy troubleshooting steps I'd go through are to recalculate the project timeline, and compare the new task settings with the current task settings to see if anything seems off.
