Task Status Update Notification to Requestor

Avatar

Level 8

Hi All, I had submitted the following to Workfront Support, but they indicated that this type of notification was not possible, but wanted to post the question to the Community to see if anyone has a workaround for this.

1. An individual submits a request to a Request Queue.

2. The request is picked up and converted to a task, and the task is then added to a project.

3. The task status is changed (whether it be to In Progress or Complete, etc.)

4. A notification is sent to the original requestor that the task status has changed.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to how the original requestor can be automatically notified (Step 4 above)? Thanks!

If you tie the resolution to the original object and the status changes from new to in progress the requester should get notifications from this setting.

You just might need to confirm they are the primary contact on the request.
