Has anyone noticed that the tasks have been reordering in the projects while entering a project? Do you know why this is happening and how to stop it? Thank you! Emily Byrne The Starr Conspiracy

Hey @Emily Byrne This might sound like a really simple check, but is your project columns sorted by task number? Vicky Fitzgerald Telegraph Media Group Limited

I was having an issue yesterday. I was trying to add a task to the very bottom of a bunch of projects. I would scroll down, click the "Add More Tasks" at the bottom of the page and enter my task info. All looked good until I refreshed the page, then the task would be somewhere in the middle of the project and I had to drag it back to the bottom. With 30+ projects to add this task to, it was a real pain... and I didn't even notice it on the 70+ projects I added it to before then, someone else found that and asked why I was adding this new task to the middle of the project! I was only adding 1 task to each project, so not sure what would have happened if I had been adding more. I need to submit a ticket for the above, but really needed to just get through those projects first.

We have 2 tickets in with support about issues: First one is when you drag a task from somewhere, it is not renumbering the task and predecessors like it used to do. We have to both refresh the page and do timeline recalculation and that still might not fix the predecessors numbering. Second one is when you insert a task somewhere in the project and then go back down to "add more tasks" at the bottom, the numbering is off and it renumbers inserted tasks. Example: I put in tasks 1-5. I insert a task in between 3 and 4. At first you get 1 - 6 like you'd expect. However, if I add a task to the bottom of the project my task list turns into 1, 2, 3, 7, 4, 5, 6. And if I add another task to the bottom it is 1, 2, 3, 8, 4, 5, 6. When I refresh the page, 8 moves to the bottom of the task list. Support is working on these issues and I'll post whenever those are fixed. Anthony Imgrund FCB

I a have ticket opened as well. This started happening on Thurs. I have sent screenshots and everything. Today, tech support wants to screen share with me to see what is happening. I don't even know if I can make it happen. Workfront just does it when it feels like doing it. Stephanie Lou Follett

If this doesn't get resolved, be sure to start an IDEA and share the link to the idea so we can all upvote! We have noticed some janky task stuff like this too but use a lot of head tasks in our projects so usually it's not a huge issue if the tasks under a head task get jumbled... BUT I"d be happy to upvote this idea unless it's just a bug WF needs to fix! Lori Meek

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask you to submit a ticket to support for any issues you see like this, and please be prepared to provide a list of steps you take to reproduce this issue, so we can confirm if it's related to an existing issue, or get it quickly escalated as a new potential defect.
