Report for pending proof approvals in projects the logged in user owns

Good morning,

I've been reading several articles this morning and feeling a bit lost on the report type and how to build a report to allow project owners to see the pending proof approvals in current and on hold projects they own. Seems like a Proof Approval report is the way to go but then it's challenging to get the filtering to only show proofs in projects the logged in user owns plus group those results by the project. Seemed like a Document report would work better and this long post, Solved: Proof Approval Reporting Examples - Adobe Experience League Community - 539604, is a document version report and I do see some text mode in it but it does note to contact someone to get the text mode. Any insights would help. Thanks!
Mary

hi Mary, if it helps, let me circle two of the questions I see in your post.

1) it's very common for folks to be uncertain about what type of report they want! helpful questions to ask are:

a) what view (types of columns) can the report I'm looking at, show? I don't have the reports memorized, but it might transpire that if you need to see a lot of project or task context, you might start building out a proof report and realize you can't pull in some of the columns you need. If I remember correctly, I think that's a common reason that many people go for a document report instead.

b) how many results do I need? a proof approval report is great if you want to see every single approval request on its own merit. Often, people go for a document report, because they do not want this. The link you posted shows an example of a report that shows you information on multiple proof approval request collected within a single row -- so basically file-by-file now, rather than approval-by-approval.

2) the specific post you linked to -- this contains a further link to a site hosting a "package" where you can download the report and unpack it into your environment, without needing to copy/paste text mode. Please contact Doug @Doug_Den_Hoed__AtAppStore  if you are experiencing any problems with this. @Kurt_Jones  is also active in the community and if you need access to his text mode, just reach out and message him.
