Proof Comments: Tagged Users Not Receiving Email Notifications

We are experiencing issues with notifications and the new @mentioning people who are not on the proof functionality: If a user who is not the proof owner or user who does not have supervisor permissions tags a person who was not originally on the proof, that person never receives an email notification of being tagged in a proof. If a user who is the proof owner or has supervisor permissions tags a person who is not on the proof originally, the user doing the tagging has the option to select the Role and Email Notifications settings for the person added. But the added person still does not receive an email notification of being tagged in that specific comment. Is anyone else experiencing this? Tina Craig Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company

In my experience 'proofing roles' such as supervisor relate to the ability to add subsequent versions of proofs on top of existing one. In essence, if you don't have 'supervisor' or above you can't add a new proof version on top of someone else's proof. I would be surprised if the proofing roles had anything to do with their notifications. Were you able to check the individuals particular user settings or the way the proofing workflow was set up? Supervisor permissions on proofing isn't the role that is set up in the workflow, it is a permission set on the backend in ProofHQ (options are Manager, Supervisor, Admin). Also, the issue isn't with versioning, it's with the new tagging feature which allows anyone with a work or plan license to tag users in comments even if they are not currently in the proof workflow. The problem we are experiencing is that across the board for all our users, they are not receiving a notification that they have been tagged in a comment if they are not already in the workflow. Hi - what is the Notification setting default for your instance? Remember, if someone has notifications Disabled, they do NOT get at mention emails from Proofing. (It isn't a huge deal for our employees as we have the integrated version so they get notifications about being tagged in an update from Workfront. But it has been an issue when we have Clients or Vendors in the proof and we at mention them) Anthony Imgrund FCB
