Hi all,
Has anyone else had trouble lately with users suddenly not being able to log time to projects (via either the updates OR the hours tabs, as if their permissions have changed)? We had several users suddenly lose their ability to do this starting this week. Nothing has changed with our settings. These users were previously logging time to a project last week just fine, then this week they're not able to log to that same project. These users need to be able to log time to the project and NOT a task to ensure we're tracking things a certain way and not skewing what is logged against our tasks specifically.
No group settings, team settings, project settings have changed. We have it turned on to log time to projects. These are users with work OR plan licenses, ensuring the contributors have it checked to log time. We have cleared cookies/cache, ensured browsers are up-to-date, everything I could think of.
I have a ticket with Support, but it is taking a while and we desperately need this option back, so I wanted to see if anyone else might've gotten different responses when going through this or have any ideas I can check.
Thank you!

Hi, I just tested and am able to log project time without issue.
Is the project they're trying to log to in Complete status? You may have a setting in Setup that you cannot log hours to a project after it's closed...
We're having this issue as well. Working with support, it seems we have it narrowed down to those with a work license type.

Hi all,
Thanks for the feedback! This was something broken in the background with work licenses apparently. It has now been resolved.
Have a great day!
Brittany
@brittanylang just checking in! Were you able to get this resolved? If one of the replies above helped—whether it completely solved the issue or simply pointed you in the right direction—marking it as accepted can make it much easier for others with the same question to find a solution. And if you found a different way to fix it, sharing your approach would be a great contribution to the community. Your follow-up not only helps close the loop but also ensures others benefit from your experience. Thanks so much for being part of the conversation!
