New proof email alert content in updates

Is it correct to say that new proof email notification content is not captured in the updates on the project? (I am aware that it is captured in the messages section under proofing activities.) If not, is better integration coming? 

Right now you can not reply to the email and have the conversation show in updates. Thank you.
