Moving logged hours from one task to another

We have established "general support projects" for the team to log their time on major efforts throughout the year, such as ongoing web support. Recently, we've identified some duplication in these projects that we’re looking to consolidate. Is there a way to transfer efforts and hours (seamlessly) to a different task before deleting the duplicate?

No sadly: "moving" hours means you remove the old record and create the new record on the correct task. 

 

Can't do it via API/Fusion either. 

 

If you have Fusion, I suggest collecting all the hours you need to move, then creating the correct one, and finally deleting the erroneous one.

    Hi @stephaneepu and @sven-ix,

     

    I'd set this one aside for a few weeks to investigate, since my recollection is that the API used to support moving Hours...but as below, having now run my own test using our Excel Updater solution (whether I'm misremembering, or something changed), do concur with Sven's assessment.
