Keyboard shortcut for assigning a user to a task in a task list

Is there a shortcut for this? I thought it used to be the "tab" function, but I might be wrong. That doesn't work! It would be great when I started typing someone's name/job role, that when it pulled up I could just tab (or other keyboard shortcut) and it would select it, instead of using my mouse to click on the name.
