Yes, they replied and said:

We are currently having a known outage for Proofing right now, and there is no current ETA. However, this has been marked as a critical issue and we are working to resolve this ASAP.

    Thanks for this update Quelle. On the Adobe System Status page, it's still noted as a minor issue in progress.

    Same here. Proofing's been down for ~2 hrs.

    https://status.adobe.com/products/5943/20220413015 reports it's still down.
