Including a document hyperlink attached to a Task that can show up on project level report

I have projects for which tasks often have a primary document associated with them.
I am having engagement issues regarding collaboration on living documents. A barrier is the need to download a doc, make edits, and then re-upload to WF.

I like these controls on some documents, others I was to promote more collaboration and work on a living document.
Can I include a hyperlink to a document associated with a task that would allow team members to access the document, say in one-drive or other platform that allows for multiple users to edit and access and autosave.

You may want to look into connecting to Drive or Sharepoint, then the document that shows on the task is accessible (provided the user has permissions) and they can collaborate.

You could also create a custom field that you poplulate with the URL, and you can show that field in a report.
