How to delete irrelevant recipient emails in Workfront

Avatar

Level 1

Can anyone tell me how to remove irrelevant user emails when creating a proof in Workfront? There are a few misspellings that have happened and we want to make sure we don't select the incorrect email for a reviewer.

Example:

john.smith@email.com is correct

john.smithe@email.com is incorrect

How can I remove the incorrect email?

Hi there, if they are a user in your instance, go to the user with the incorrect email and deactivate the user. If they are a contact via Proof, go to main menu > Proofing > Contacts (left side) > use the in-page search to search the incorrect email and delete the contact.

this was SO helpful!  But...Why do emails get "duplicated" in a manner of speaking in the proofing piece of WF?

I'll have an email for a user like Colleague.Name@Company.com then in the proofing section, there will be the initial user and a duplicate with extra characters

Colleague.Name@Company.com

Colleague.Name23+%3099@Company.com
this eliminates the user from getting any notifications.  My hope is to know how to stop the wrong email from even populating.

Thanks!

Hi there, there are a couple reasons for this - has that user received proofs from a different instance as well as yours? See the thread here, I think this can help.
