Hours tracking based on updates to percentage complete column

We have recently started using workfront for all our employees/projects. 

When they start a task - moving the percentage complete past 0% this does capture the date and time. Along with when they mark it 100%. 

 

Does this track the hours on the project? Or is the only way to capture hours is by having them manually logged to the task or timesheet?

The only way to to capture hours is by having them manually log hours to the task or timesheet.

 

Start and completion may not accurately reflect actual time worked on a task such as when a user needs to pass their work to someone else for review before marking their task complete or something along those lines.

The only way to to capture hours is by having them manually log hours to the task or timesheet.
