Editing Task relationships "This resolves" to an unrelated issue

We have a scenario where we need to establish a connection between a task and an issue, wherein the issue lives under a separate request queue. We do not want to convert the issue to a task. We just need to edit the "This resolves" under "Task Relationships" in the Task details section. Is this possible?

you would actually go through the issue for this. The "resolved by" field is the one that you can edit.
