Delegation Cancelling Itself, Once First Day Off is Past

Has anyone noticed lately that when you "delegate" approvals when someone is OOTO it works the first day, but then once that date has passed and it's their second day out, the delegate cancels itself and doesn't work anymore?

We have used this for a few years and only last week did we realize it's now doing this.

Example: even though they were set 10/3-10/7 it keeps canceling the delegation once it passes the start date
