Need some assistance with more technical clarification. What is the difference between Start On and Actual Start Date (what is the trigger point)? Likewise, the difference between Due On and Actual Completion Date? Also, is there a way to find when a task was entered? Thank you. Susan

Start Date = Planned Start Date (They just used a label to change the display name) (you control this field) Actual Start - triggered when you change the Status away from New Due On = Planned Completion Date (They just used a label to change the display name) (you control this field) Actual Completion Date = triggered when you change the Status to Complete Vic Alejandro, PMP, CSM | IT | Sr. Technical Project Manager Denver Water | t: (303-628-7262) | c: (303-319-6473) "http://www.denverwater.org/"> http://www.denverwater.org INTEGRITY | VISION | PASSION | EXCELLENCE | RESPECT

Hey @Vic Alejandro‚ - when you say this - Actual Start - triggered when you change the Status away from New

Our projects begin in planning mode. So would this actual start date be the date that its changed from planning to current?

Hi Susan, To get the date the task was entered, add a column to the view called "Entry Date". Task > Entry Date Best regards, Dan Perkins Workfront

Hi Christina, Well I was referring to Tasks in that response. For Projects it appears the Actual Start Date is unchanged by the Status change to Current. I believe it simple reflects the date the project was created and is unphased by any changes to the Planned Start Date or underlying tasks.
