Currency rate changes and Expenses

Hi,

All our projects expenses are in Australian dollars and we have to convert the spend into USD. The conversion rate is set by our finance team. However, the conversion rate we get changes every year.

 

Will changing the AUD:USD in Workfront affect expenses logged before the change?

 

For example,

2023 conversion rate is 0.65

2024 conversion rate is 0.62

 

Will all projects and expenses logged in 2023 be changed to the new 0.62 conversion rate or stick with the old 0.65 rate?

I believe the existing projects stick with the prior exchange rate but why don’t you just test this in your preview sandbox? You should be able to bring it up by substituting “preview” for the word “my” in your URL, and it was really made for this kind of experimentation.
