Can you use a user wildcard in a custom reminder template?

We're creating a custom reminder that will go to several people on a task, not just the assigned to task owner. I'd like the email to greet the user that it is sent to but I cannot get the $$USER.name wildcard to work.

$$USER.name$$ doesn't seem to work in the HTML. Does anyone know the correct syntax?

Hi Kristy,

Just reading an article on this and it suggests using $$assignedTo:FirstName$$ = you probably solved this already as the post it from July!

Thanks
