Workfront - Time Zones

Currently, Workfront utilizes the time zone on the user's computer to determine the times and dates for tasks versus the setup time zone within Workfront for the user. We are finding issues with this in a few locations within Workfront. For example, in the Time Off section, if the user's setup time zone within Workfront is not set to the same time zone as their computer, it will select 2 days when trying to select 1. Another example, if a user is located on the West coast and their computer is set to PST, but their Workfront time zone is set to EST, it will override the EST and use the computer's time zone. This is especially difficult for Planners that are setting up due dates and times for tasks within a project. We'd like to set all users to EST, regardless of where are they are located in the world.

Wouldn't the solution be to just have folk's computer zone and Workfront zone match? Is there some reason for having their Workfront time zone not match their actual time zone on their computer?

@RandyRoberts, unfortunately it doesn't work. Our default schedule in Workfront is set to EST so when a Planner goes to schedule tasks and their time zone is set to something other than EST, the planner hours fall over different days, messing up the Workload Balancer.

For some reason, the project tasks all work fine for us. We have offices in 5 different time zones and it all works just fine. If we have a Project on a UK schedule and someone assigns a task to US based user, the start and due times are offset by the proper 5 hours. The US users see 9am tasks assigned to UK users as 4am.

The part that doesn't work is non-project based things, like calendars, time off, etc.
