Undo Button for All Project Functions

Similar to the recycle bin idea but more of a real time snap back to your last action. I know there is some functionality for this but our PM's accidentally delete tasks accidentally because they are moving so fast and it would be great if there was a button similar to other products out there so you can undo / redo your last several actions within a project. Having to go to a recycle bin to restore work is a multi step process that would cause frustration in times of fire drills.

Thank you again for your active participation and input. In an effort to provide the best quality, the undo functionality for the task list has been pulled out from 2018.3 release. We are planning to enable this in production with the 2019.1 release. If you would like, we can enable it in your preview environment for testing. If you want to have it enabled it for you in preview only and provide feedback, please feel out this short google form . Copying this feedback over from the community discussion: Having this functionality in the regular task list view is crucial for us. Even after years of trying, no one here is a fan of the gantt charts. We currently do have the undo functionality within the gantt chart in Preview, but it's still kind of clunky and honestly isn't what we were looking for. Our users do not want to open the gantt view every time they edit a task, because honestly they have no other reason to. They just want to do their work as normal but have a ctrl+z like undo functionality.

Per the official comment above, it says this is in the 2019.1 release. When is this scheduled for? I agree with the others - this is a HUGE pain point for our PMs.

This would be amazing for us. Our PM's are always asking for an undo button, especially when it comes to deleting tasks etc.

I am glad to let you know that the functionality is currently available on the task list. When working on the task list of a project, users with manage access to the project and the tasks have the ability to disable the Autosave on the task list and make several edits, undo/redo changes when they are comfortable with those. Please, please add an undo or project history system for tasks and dates/durations. Setting up a project timeline is finicky enough as it is, change one constraint you often have to redo your entire timeline from scratch. The ability to undo a change or even revert to a previous version of a project would be a huge timsesaver.
