Stackable Workfront Boards Column Filters

The current function of the Workfront Boards filters seem to be set up on an OR statement meaning if multiple filter options are selected the filter will pull [this selection] OR [that selection], and not [this selection] AND [that selection]. For example, we have a member of our team attempting to use the Boards column filter to see any tasks that are aligned to one particular project AND assigned to one particular user, but for some reason it is only pulling tasks assigned to the one particular user. 

It is extremely important to have flexible filtering options throughout Workfront and especially for Boards since they are used to allow teams to work in an agile way. If the filters are not flexible and easy to use then they present roadblocks to the teams attempting to use them. In a perfect world, the Workfront Boards column filter would work similar to the way the report filters do or work the same way as the intake filters do in boards. We are currently able to select OR or AND filters when crafting Workfront Boards intake column filters (found by clicking Configure), but the regular column filters do not give you the same options (found by clicking Filter). I've provided screenshots below to highlight the differences.

I'm submitting this idea using the feedback button within the boards area today to make sure it gets pushed along to the correct team. Hopefully, we will see it on the roadmap or updated soon. The filter limitation is definitely making it difficult to get teams comfortable using boards since it makes it hard to find what they are looking for.

Yess that's what I meant by ticket * the feedback button. Hopefully with more than a few people looking for this feature we can get some movement. It really does make it hard to project manage across a team without being able to filter appropriately.

A robust filtering option as suggested by you will really make it easier to navigate large number of tasks in a project/program. Thanks for highlighting this need and sharing your feedback.

We're looking for this solution as well!  Board filters that are flexible would help us a lot.  I can't find whether or not this has been implemented, or what the status might be?  Anybody know?  Thanks!

@jon_chen This is great news that this is currently being investigated by the Product Management team! Will the response be communicated here on this idea or will we need to be on the look out for the update elsewhere?

@RachelP It looks like the Workfront Product Management team is investigating this one at the moment, but I've asked Jon to clarify if the answer of if it will be implemented will be provided on this idea page or somewhere else. Hopefully, the answer is yes.

Thank you for the update @jon_chen - would love to understand timeline expectations or anything you can share. 
but also where that decision will come from too. 
My team, separate from Erika, is very interested in this as it would help our entire team's workflow and processes every week.
