Spreadsheet Mode for Project Schedule

I'm stealing this from Microsoft SharePoint, but it would be great if there was a spreadsheet mode on the task list for a project. This would allow us to copy from excel (if the columns matched) and would allow us to copy things like Duration, Assignments, and Planned Hours from one task to another task easily.

Yes, this would be a very helpful ability especially working with vendors that may send us tasks, etc. for our project plans.
