Sort Grouping on Report

It would be awesome to be able to set a sort on the grouping of a report. Currently the grouping is set and displays in a random sort. Our company would love to be able to set a sort for the grouping so things always come in in alphabetical order.

I agree with this request. I would like to sort the group by the total for that group. In this case I'm reporting on planned hours by project and I'd like to sort to show the projects with the highest number of planned hours first.

I 100% agree. We're needing to be able to see tasks in the order of which the appear in the project then group by parent task and then group by project. I would like for those projects groupings to be in order of when the planned completion date is -- one of the columns that rolls up from the tasks.

Today, you can only summarize numeric values by count on a report. I'd like to be able to do this for project attributes (e.g., customer segment, target distribution channel, brand). I'd like to be able to sort grouped items on charts by the number of instances to create Pareto charts. This would make charts more useful to understand volumes of work by group.

"Sort" is a crucial component of effective visualizations. If I want to communicate which tasks take the most hours, the least effective sort criteria is alphabetical, which is the only option available. To sort the results of a bar chart by the mathematical sums of the hours would be ideal.

Totally agree! This function would make report layouts much more logical and provides users with greater perspective on aggregated data.

We would like to also be able to sort the order which multi-checkbox or drop-down options show up when they are displayed in reports. The order the options show up in their appropriate column seems random.
