Currently in Workload Balancer the only option is to see the task name or project name when reviewing work and assignments. We propose adding the functionality to support additional data elements to the view.
This could be accomplished through:
allowing configuration of additional columns (like most other views in WF)
standard option to select data elements like: program, portfolio, and company
allowing display of a custom field
enable the current field to be a calculated value (that could reference multiple layers of objects similar to what can be done in value expressions elsewhere - like grouping headers)
In our organization it's not unusual to have multiple projects of similar (and even the same name) between customers. We leverage fields like program, company and custom fields to distinguish between them. In the Workload Balancer seeing that information is not possible. This requires jumping between screens to know what is being assigned and worked on.
Furthermore, showing an additional custom field could enable us to show the calculated field that displays priority of a project - bringing the information needed to prioritize staffing assignments in our backlog.
